  • Patent number: 9392537
Abstract: The terminal according to the present application has a connection unit that connects to an access point for a communication network The terminal also has a connection control unit that scans a network registered in a connection list, subtracts access points registered in a exclusion list from the detected access points to identify access points to which connection is possible, initializes the exclusion list if an access point to which connection is possible is not identified and then again identifies an access point to which connection is possible, and selects an access point to connect to, out of identified access points to which connection in possible. The terminal further has a connection ending unit that, if the start of a connection to an access point registered in a duplicate exclusion list is detected, cuts the connection with the access point, and also deletes the corresponding network from the connection list.

  • Patent number: 7342542
Abstract: A first antenna element is formed by a press-fitting first member and a second member to each other, and a second antenna element is formed by press-fitting a first member and a second member to each other. Respective members are fixed to a base by riveting, thereby achieving the antenna. This structure allows determining arbitrarily splitting positions and shapes of members of the first antenna element and the members of the second antenna element. The antenna can be obtained at an inexpensive cost even if an external appearance of the antenna is specified to be an irregular shape.

  • Patent number: 7193564
Abstract: An antenna device includes an electrically insulating base section and a metallic first antenna element fixed to the base section. The first antenna element includes an adjusting section shaped like a ladder or a lattice, which is formed of rails confronting each other and connecting bars which couple a part of the rails. The structure discussed above allows the adjusting section to adjust frequency characteristics corresponding to the antenna element to desirable ones with ease, so that a basic tooling die can be commonly used and standardized antenna device is obtainable with ease.

  • Patent number: 7180453
Abstract: An antenna for portable cellular telephone can adjust each of multiple antenna elements efficiently and independently to a predetermined resonance frequency. A first antenna element and second antenna element are mounted on and anchored to one common base. Terminals for feeding power to the first antenna element and the second antenna element are provided respectively. The terminals are coupled to matching circuits. This structure facilitates separate and efficient adjustment of resonance frequency of the first antenna element and the second antenna element.

  • Patent number: 6147661
Abstract: A helical coil and a top-helical type antenna using the same, wherein the helical coil has a plurality of either substantially U-shaped or nearly V-shaped branch portions made of a thin metallic sheet material. The branch portions are connected continuously in a manner to place their open ends alternately inversely, and the branch portions alternatively curve toward an obverse side and a reverse side of the metallic sheet to form each turn of the coil. A method for producing the helical coil includes continuously die cutting a member on a belt-shaped strip of electrically conductive metallic sheet, and alternately placing a plurality of either substantially U-shaped or substantially V-shaped branch portions with their open ends inversely. These substantially U or V-shaped branch portions are then connected with each other in the shape of a letter, with connection to the metallic sheet being held only by linkage portions at opposite sides.

  • Patent number: 5575235
Abstract: The present invention relates to an electronic illumination apparatus which may be used in audio equipment. The electronic illumination apparatus allows recognition of the position of rotational operation of a knob by the light from a built-in light emitting diode. The object of the present invention is to provide an illumination type electronic part of rotational operation which is readily adaptable to changes in specifications for the rotational operation shaft. The disclosed apparatus also is able to withstand a strong thrust force applied to the rotational operation shaft, to reduce the hitting sound emitted from the rotatable stopper of the rotational operation shaft, and also to light up the illumination means disposed on the end of the rotational operation shaft in a stable manner.

  • Patent number: 5376914
Abstract: An electromotive adjustable resistor, comprising an electric motor which includes a motor shaft and a gear train which has two worm gear engagements and a cylindrical gear engagement. The cylindrical gear engagement provides a distance (space) between the resistance adjusting shaft and the motor shaft along the axis of both shafts. Accordingly, the axes of the two shafts can coincide or nearly coincide without interfering with each other. This narrows the width of the electromotive adjustable resistor, and minimizes the space on the circuit board occupied by the adjustable resistor.

  • Patent number: 4412113
Abstract: In a push-on switch comprising a moving contact 6 of partial-hemisphere-face-shaped resilient metal diaphragm which is disposed with its periphery on a pair of peripheral fixed contacts 2b,2b in a contacting manner and at its central part apart above a central fixed contact 2a in an isolated manner at normal state, the improvement is made such that the metal diaphragm moving contact 6 has an opening 6a having at least a protrusion 6b with respect to the opening 6a;so that the opening 6a allows air to pass at inversing and restoring motions of the central principal part of the moving contact 6, thereby preventing drafting of dust onto the central fixed contact 2a, and that the protrusion 6b slides on and cleans the surface of the central fixed contact 2a at each pushing down of the central part of the moving contact 6.
