  • Publication number: 20110095965
Abstract: A multi-screen display device of the present invention includes a master liquid crystal display device and one or more slave liquid crystal display devices which are mutually communicable with each other. Each of the liquid crystal display devices includes an LCD panel, a brightness sensor, brightness adjustment value adjustment means, and backlight control means. The brightness sensor is provided on a rear face side of the LCD panel, and detects the brightness of a backlight. The brightness adjustment value adjustment means adjusts a brightness adjustment value based on a result of comparison between a brightness measured by the brightness sensor and target brightness. The backlight control means adjusts the brightness of the LCD panel by controlling a time period for lighting the backlight based on the brightness adjustment value.

  • Publication number: 20090040178
Abstract: An object of the present invention is to provide a position detecting device that allows simultaneous use by a plurality of users by recognizing positional information about a plurality of pointers and associating the pointers and the users. A position detecting device of the invention includes a rear projector (1) that projects an image, a projection screen (3) that displays the image projected from the rear projector (1), imaging means (4) that is located near the rear projector (1) and that takes an image of light rays emitted from pointers (10, 20), from the rear of the projection screen (3), and coordinate calculating means (5b) that analyzes the image taken by the imaging means (4) to detect the two-dimensional positions in the detection areas where the light rays from the pointers (10, 20) are detected.

  • Patent number: 7343083
Abstract: A digital video signal record and playback device for recording on a recording medium a digital video signal coded by using a motion compensation prediction and an orthogonal transform and playing back data from the recording medium. In a data arrangement of a digital video signal, an I picture which can be independently represented in a picture is divided into n areas in the vertical direction, and the data is arranged from the front of one GOP in the unit of area by giving a priority to an area located at the center of the screen. A playback picture is outputted by playing back the I picture read from the recording medium in the unit of area unit. In the case where the whole I picture area cannot be read within a definite time, the area which cannot be read are interpolated by the use of the data of the preceding screen.
