  • Publication number: 20230119474
Abstract: A data collection system includes: an alternativity determination unit determining whether or not data has alternativity, allowing replacement of the data with alternative data when a data necessity inquiry transmitted from an in-vehicle terminal is received by a center-side reception unit; and a center-side transmission unit (i) transmitting a discard notice back to the in-vehicle terminal that has transmitted the data necessity inquiry, and letting the in-vehicle terminal to discard the data based on a determination by the alternativity determination unit that the data has alternativity, and (ii) transmitting a keeping notice back to the in-vehicle terminal that has transmitted the data necessity inquiry, and letting the in-vehicle terminal to keep the data based on a determination by the alternativity determination unit that the data has no alternativity.

  • Publication number: 20210274517
Abstract: An in-vehicle terminal includes: a communication unit; a necessity determination unit; a basic life determination unit that determines a life of data; a life correction unit that corrects the basic life determined by the basic life determination unit according to factors presumed to affect data fluctuations/data change; and a transmission determination unit that determines a transmission order of the data by the data transmission unit based on (i) the transmission necessity of the data determined by the necessity determination unit and (ii) a post-correction life corrected by the life correction unit, in a manner that (a) data having the higher transmission necessity and/or the shorter post-correction life has an earlier transmission order while (b) data having the lower transmission necessity and/or the longer post-correction life has a later transmission order.

  • Patent number: 9635409
Abstract: An information processing system includes a control processor that causes playback of a selected content on a first display screen. The control processor also receives a request to play back the selected content on a second display screen, and requests playback of the selected content on the second display screen. The control processor then continues playback of the selected content on the first display screen after the request to play back the content on the second display screen is received, and automatically stops playback of the selected content on the first display screen during playback of the selected content on the second screen.

  • Patent number: 8145494
Abstract: A voice response system attempts to respond to spoken user input and to provide computer-generated responses. If the system decides it cannot provide valid responses, the current state of user session is determined and forwarded to a human operator for further action. The system maintains a recorded history of the session in the form of a dialog history log. The dialog history and information as to the reliability of past speech recognition efforts is employed in making the current state determination. The system includes formatting rules for controlling the display of information presented to the human operator.

  • Patent number: 7299187
Abstract: When a user issued voice command does not match grammars registered in advance, the voice command is identified as a sentence (step S305). This sentence is compared with the registered grammars to calculate a similarity (step S307). When the similarity is higher than a first threshold value (TH1), the voice command is executed (step S315). When the similarity is equal to or lower than the first threshold value (TH1) and higher than a second threshold value (TH2), command choices are displayed for the user and the user is permitted to select a command to be executed (step S319). When the similarity is equal to or lower than the second threshold value (TH2), the command is not executed (step S321). Furthermore, once a command has been executed it is added as a grammar, so that it can be identified when next it is used.
