The accompanying droplet is electrostatically attracted and collected by the accompanying droplet collecting electrode before reaching the first electrode. At this time, the voltage is applied to the accompanying droplet collecting electrode by the voltage applying part after a predetermined period of time has elapsed from when a droplet of the applying liquid has been ejected from the nozzle.
