  • Patent number: 6103111
Abstract: Tourmaline fine powders are mixed with glass powders having melting point between 500.degree. C. and the transition temperature of tourmaline, and the grains are formed from the mixture and sintered at a temperature below melting point of the glass. Tourmaline powders are stacked in the glass matrix in the tourmaline composite grains prepared above. When water passes through a case including many such grains, the water contacts with the grains and is converted to activated water by the grains. By using the activated water, a structure such as a moving vehicle or an outer wall of a building can be washed efficiently without a detergent. Further, the grains can be used in an apparatus for recycling wash water.

  • Patent number: 5830551
Abstract: A method for manufacturing a tile having a desired pattern. The pattern goes through the tile in the thickness direction. For manufacturing such a tile, e.g. a partition plate 84 is disposed in a pressure forming die 91 so as to divide its inside space into an outer forming space 95 and an inner forming space 96. Light black granules and light red granules are filled respectively in the outer and inner forming spaces 95, 96. Then, the partition wall 84 is taken out from the die 91, and lining granules are filled over the colored granules. Thereafter, they are pressed into one body and burned.

  • Patent number: 5685931
Abstract: An accessory tile and its manufacturing method. The accessory tile is made of preformed tile bodies of plate shape which have colored patterns on their surfaces, respectively. The preformed tile bodies are disposed on both sides of a press surface of a lower mold of a V-shaped cross section, respectively, while joint end surfaces of the preformed tile bodies are contacted closely with each other. They are pressed between the lower mold and an upper mold into one body. The pressed bodies are burnt to obtain the accessory tile as a final product.
