  • Publication number: 20130162199
Abstract: A rechargeable electric apparatus includes a switching device (12), a first shunt resistor (13-1) that connects the switching device (12) and a positive electrode of a secondary battery (11), a second shunt resistor (13-2) that connects a load (14) and the positive electrode of the secondary battery (11), and a control unit (15). The control unit (15) controls turning on and off of the switching device (12) on the basis of voltages at two ends of the first shunt resistor (13-1) and voltages at two ends of the second shunt resistor (13-2) in order to control a supply current flowing to the secondary battery (11) via the first shunt resistor (13-1) and to control a load current flowing to the load (14) via the second shunt resistor (13-2).

  • Publication number: 20130154575
Abstract: A charging device includes a charge controller (14) which receives input of voltages at two ends of a shunt resistor (13) in synchronization with turning on of a switching device (12), sets an on-time during which the switching device (12) is turned on based on the inputted voltages at the two ends of the shunt resistor (13), and controls a charge current of a secondary battery (11). A resistance value of the shunt resistor (13) is set equal to or above a value obtained by dividing a least resolution of an A/D conversion voltage when the charge controller (14) converts an inputted analog voltage into a digital voltage by a minimum detectable value of the charge current of the secondary battery (11).

  • Publication number: 20100327804
Abstract: A chargeable electric device includes a rechargeable battery. A secondary coil is arranged to be coupled by electromagnetic induction to a primary coil of a non-contact charger when charging the rechargeable battery. A resonance capacitor is connected to the secondary coil. A rectification unit is connected to the secondary coil. A charging current control unit arranged between the rectification unit and the rechargeable battery control charging current supplied from the rectification unit to the rechargeable battery. A resonance obstruction element obstructs normal resonance produced by the secondary coil and the resonance capacitor in synchronism with the control performed by the charging current control unit to suppress the charging current.

  • Publication number: 20100327803
Abstract: A non-contact charger includes a primary coil that transmits power in a non-contact manner to a load device through electromagnetic induction with a secondary coil of the load device when charging the load device, a charger body including the primary coil, and an information notification block fixed to the charger body. The information notification block includes a notification element that notifies a user of information of at least one of the charger body and the load device, and an auxiliary coil connected to the notification element. The information notification block uses power transmitted in a non-contact manner through electromagnetic induction between the primary coil and the auxiliary coil to activate the notification element to provide notification of the information of at least one of the charger body and the load device.

Abstract: A non-contact transformer includes a transformer component provided on the floor of a housing, a printed circuit board on the transformer component, and an empty core space is formed within the transformer component wherein deformation of the housing is prevented through a construction that evacuates residual air from the core space when the core space is filled with resin even though both ends of the core space are covered by lid-like parts. A cylindrical end face at one extremity of the primary transformer component is positioned on the bottom plate of the primary housing opposed to the secondary housing, and the printed circuit board is provided on an opposite cylindrical end face which is at the other extremity of the primary transformer component. • Publication number: 20030052764
Abstract: A noncontact transformer installed on the floor of a housing whereby air entrapment within the resin that fills spaces in the transformer is prevented. A primary transformer component is provided on a lower surface of a primary housing, which is then filled with resin. Primary transformer component includes a core space which is defined by inclined internal wall that extends away from the lower surface to form a widely open end of the core space that is larger than the end at the lower surface.

  • Patent number: 5896278
Abstract: A non-contact electric power transmission apparatus including a power supply unit and a load unit. The power supply unit has a first oscillation circuit, a signal secondary winding, a filter circuit, and a driving control circuit. The load unit has a power secondary winding, a signal primary winding, and a second oscillation circuit. The first oscillation circuit has a power primary winding and intermittently oscillates at a first oscillation frequency. When the load unit is placed at a predetermined position with respect to the power supply unit, since signals are induced in the power secondary winding by the signals in the power primary winding, the second oscillation circuit oscillates at a second oscillation frequency which is different from the first oscillation frequency. The signals from the second oscillation circuit are transmitted from the signal primary winding to the signal secondary winding.
