    Abstract: A power supply circuit of a step-down type, configured to generate an output voltage at a predetermined level from an alternating current (AC) voltage. The power supply circuit includes a rectifier circuit configured to rectify the AC voltage, a first line coupled to the rectifier circuit, a second line on a ground side, a switch coupled between the first line and the second line, and a control circuit configured to control the switch to bring a level of the output voltage to the predetermined level. The power supply circuit is free of an inductor interposed between the first line and the rectifier circuit.

    Abstract: The current disclosure relates to processes for selectively etching material from one surface of a semiconductor substrate over another surface of the semiconductor substrate. The disclosure further relates to assemblies for etching material from a surface of a semiconductor substrate. In the processes, a substrate comprising a first surface and a second surface is provided into a reaction chamber, an etch-priming reactant is provided into the reaction chamber in vapor phase; reactive species generated from plasma are provided into the reaction chamber for selectively etching material from the first surface. The etch-priming reactant is deposited on the first surface and the etch-priming reactant comprises a halogenated hydrocarbon. The halogenated hydrocarbon may comprise a head group and a tail group, and one or both of them may be halogenated.

    Abstract: A method for stack-welding dissimilar metal members by placing a first metal member and a second metal member having a melting point higher than that of the first metal member on top of one another and performing laser welding is provided. The second metal member is placed on the first metal member, and a molten pool in which only the second metal member is melted is formed by applying a laser beam for thermal-conduction welding from above the second metal member. After the molten pool comes into contact with the first metal member and hence the first metal member melts in the molten pool, the molten pool solidifies, so that the first and second metal members and are welded together.

The rectifying mechanism is arranged downstream of the blower fan in the in-case passage, and the air passes through the rectifying mechanism. The blower fan is arranged so that the other side of the fan axis that is opposite to the one side extends toward a downstream side of the in-case passage. The rectifying mechanism suppresses a swirling flow generated by the rotation of the blower fan in the air blown out from the blower fan as compared with the blown-out air prior to flowing into the rectifying mechanism.
