When the communication IF unit 218 receives data representing that an external device is operated, CPU 202 displays a corresponding cursor on the display unit 210. If the communication IF unit 218 does not receive in a prescribed time period data representing that the external device operated, the CPU 202 erases the corresponding cursor from the display unit 210. When the communication IF unit 218 receives an instruction of special display from an external device, the CPU 202 displays a corresponding cursor in a special manner on the display unit 210. Thus, a cursor that is not operated for a prescribed time period can automatically be erased, and it is possible to display a cursor in a special manner.

Abstract: Provided is a document file output apparatus capable of appropriately storing each document as different files depending on a difference in printing setting, even when printed materials which are to be different documents for each single sheet or every plurality of sheets are continuously read, a document file output method, and a computer readable medium storing a program for operating a computer as the document file output apparatus. The document file output apparatus each specifies the printing setting of each read printed material, for example, a layout, a difference in a size of the read printed material, presence or absence of framework printing, presence or absence of reduction printing, color/monochromatic setting, or image embedding, from the obtained image data, and outputs by dividing the document files before and after the read printed material in which the printing setting is changed.

The host PC stores the received processing execution condition information in the storage apparatus.

Abstract: A document management device obtains thumbnail information as to a requested document out of an image transmitted via a public network, judges as to whether the thumbnail information is correct with respect to the requested document, and returns the requested document when correct. This prevents a person having no knowledge of the thumbnail information from obtaining a document from a device main body, thereby tightening security for document management in the main body and providing the document management device capable of fully managing even a document requiring higher security.

Abstract: The invention provides a method, a communication system, a communication network, a communication apparatus and a communication terminal enabling the voice coding mode during voice communication to be changed by a common operation independently of diverse network configurations. A first network monitors the communication situation including quality of a radio link during voice communication of a first terminal, and determines an appropriate coding mode based on the communication situation. In addition, the first network sends to the first terminal a first request for change to the appropriate coding mode. Upon reception of the first request, the first terminal sends a second request for change of the coding mode to a second network. Upon reception of the second request, the second network changes the coding mode of the voice codec given to a second terminal engaged in voice communication with the first terminal, and sends back to the first terminal a response to the second request.

Abstract: Diversity gains indicating an amount to be gained when maximal ratio combining is performed on intra-cell diversity branches are stored in a first memory, and diversity gains indicating an amount to be gained when selective combining is performed on inter-cell diversity branches are stored in a second memory. A list of pilot signals sent from a mobile station is received and examined. If the diversity branch of a pilot signal is an intra-cell diversity branch, a diversity gain is read from the first memory and summed with the power level of the pilot signal. If the diversity branch of a pilot signal is the inter-cell diversity branch, a diversity gain is read from the second memory and summed with the power level of the pilot signal. One of the diversity branches corresponding to the highest of the sums is selected and the mobile station is informed of the selected branch.

Abstract: A method of and an apparatus for reducing the transmission error rate in the site diversity reception among related base stations system are disclosed. A base station controller compares data received from a plurality of related base stations to eliminate errors in frame unit base, predetermined size unit base which is divided from a frame, or bit unit base, and composes those units based on the decision by majority but adopts the data having highest reception potential when the comparison by the way described above is unavailable, in order to transfer no error data.
