  • Publication number: 20150138082
Abstract: An image display apparatus 200 includes a display unit 210, a communication IF unit 218 and a CPU 202. When the communication IF unit 218 receives data representing that an external device is operated, CPU 202 displays a corresponding cursor on the display unit 210. If the communication IF unit 218 does not receive in a prescribed time period data representing that the external device operated, the CPU 202 erases the corresponding cursor from the display unit 210. When the communication IF unit 218 receives an instruction of special display from an external device, the CPU 202 displays a corresponding cursor in a special manner on the display unit 210. Thus, a cursor that is not operated for a prescribed time period can automatically be erased, and it is possible to display a cursor in a special manner.

  • Patent number: 8711415
Abstract: A control device of an account managing server carries out (i) a first process in which the control device (a) obtains client identification information from a client PC via a network and (b) controls a storage device to store, as provisional login information, first login information contained in the client identification information, (ii) a second process in the control device (c) obtains second login information inputted into a multifunction peripheral and (iii) a third process in which the control device (d) permits usage of the multifunction peripheral in a case where the second login information is identical to the provisional login information stored in the storage device. This makes it unnecessary for a user to register login information of a client device newly connected to the network.

  • Patent number: 7370041
Abstract: An information acquisition apparatus receives summary information and displays the outline information included in the summary information. When a document information acquisition request is given, the information acquisition apparatus determines, based on the current date and time and the validity period information included in the summary information, whether or not the document information corresponding to the received summary information is within its validity period. When it is within the validity period, the information acquisition apparatus acquires the corresponding document information from a databases in an information management apparatus. When it is outside the validity period, the information acquisition apparatus creates and transmits a communication document to an information registration apparatus that registered the document information.

  • Patent number: 7142325
Abstract: A document management device obtains thumbnail information as to a requested document out of an image transmitted via a public network, judges as to whether the thumbnail information is correct with respect to the requested document, and returns the requested document when correct. This prevents a person having no knowledge of the thumbnail information from obtaining a document from a device main body, thereby tightening security for document management in the main body and providing the document management device capable of fully managing even a document requiring higher security.

  • Patent number: 6978130
Abstract: The invention provides a method, a communication system, a communication network, a communication apparatus and a communication terminal enabling the voice coding mode during voice communication to be changed by a common operation independently of diverse network configurations. A first network monitors the communication situation including quality of a radio link during voice communication of a first terminal, and determines an appropriate coding mode based on the communication situation. In addition, the first network sends to the first terminal a first request for change to the appropriate coding mode. Upon reception of the first request, the first terminal sends a second request for change of the coding mode to a second network. Upon reception of the second request, the second network changes the coding mode of the voice codec given to a second terminal engaged in voice communication with the first terminal, and sends back to the first terminal a response to the second request.

  • Patent number: 6801758
Abstract: Diversity gains indicating an amount to be gained when maximal ratio combining is performed on intra-cell diversity branches are stored in a first memory, and diversity gains indicating an amount to be gained when selective combining is performed on inter-cell diversity branches are stored in a second memory. A list of pilot signals sent from a mobile station is received and examined. If the diversity branch of a pilot signal is an intra-cell diversity branch, a diversity gain is read from the first memory and summed with the power level of the pilot signal. If the diversity branch of a pilot signal is the inter-cell diversity branch, a diversity gain is read from the second memory and summed with the power level of the pilot signal. One of the diversity branches corresponding to the highest of the sums is selected and the mobile station is informed of the selected branch.
