  • Publication number: 20080090047
Abstract: The present invention provides a pile fabric comprising at least a long pile portion and a short pile portion to form a step, the pile fabric having a specific pile portion other than the long pile portion, which contains at least 3% by weight of an acrylic fiber (A) based on the entire pile portion, wherein the acrylic fiber (A) has a transmittance of light in a range of 15 to 70% in a direction of width of the fiber and a maximum surface reflectance of light in a range of 30 to 80% at an incident angle of 60 degrees in a direction of length of the fiber, and the pile fabric obtained thereby has an animal hair-like appearance with a distinct step.

  • Publication number: 20060093781
Abstract: The present invention aims at providing a pile fabric that has excellent voluminous touch and recovery property while exhibiting soft touch, and touch closely equivalent to natural furs. The present invention relates to a pile fabric having a level difference comprising at least a longer pile part and a shorter pile part, wherein a fiber with a flat cross section shape as a shorter pile part is included at a percentage of 30% to 70% by weight to a total weight of the pile part, a difference between an average pile length of the longer pile part, and an average pile length of the shorter pile part is 1 mm to 5 mm, a fineness of a fiber constituting the longer pile part (DL) is in a range of 0.7 dtex to 8 dtex, and a ratio with respect to a fineness of a fiber constituting a shorter pile part (DS) satisfies a relationship of 0.1<(DL/DS)<1.0.

  • Patent number: 4865786
Abstract: Disclosed is a foamed synthetic fiber characterized in that an organic solvent solution of a thermoplastic polymer admixed with 3-100 weight percent of a compound scarcely soluble or insoluble in the aqueous coagulating bath for wet spinning, which is liquid under normal pressure and has a boiling point of 120.degree. C. or less, as foaming agent is injected as spinning dope into said aqueous coagulating bath and it is foamed in a drying atmosphere at the boiling point or more of the foaming agent and 100.degree. C. or more and has an expansion ratio of 3 percent or more, and the manufacturing method thereof. The foamed synthetic fiber of the present invention is light and bulky, being excellent in warmth-keeping and heat-insulating performance with its appearance, touch and development of color similar to those of an animal hair.
