  • Patent number: 11279196
Abstract: A damping force control device 10 comprises vary damping shock absorbers, a detector, and a controller. Each of the shock absorbers sets damping coefficient from a minimum value to a maximum value in order to adjust damping force. The detector detects vertical vibration state quantity relating to vibration of the sprung mass. The controller performs an ordinary control for setting the damping coefficient based on the vertical vibration state quantity and according to a predetermined control law suitable for an assumption that all of the wheels touch ground. The controller performs, when at least one of the wheels is an ungrounded wheel which does not touch the ground and each of the other wheels is a grounded wheel which touches the ground, a specific control for setting the damping coefficient of the shock absorber corresponding to the grounded wheel to a first specific value greater than the minimum value.

  • Patent number: 6430484
Abstract: A vehicle wheel information supply device disposed on a wheel of a vehicle and supplying wheel information representative of a state of the wheel, to a receiver disposed on a body of the vehicle. The vehicle wheel information supply device is capable of successively supplying a plurality of wheel data sets, as the wheel information, which represent the state of the wheel at the same point of time and which have respective data volumes different from each other, wherein the vehicle wheel information supply device supplies the plurality of wheel data sets to the receiver in a predetermined order such that a smallest one of the wheel data sets whose data volume is the smallest among the wheel data sets is supplied earlier than the other of the wheel data sets.

  • Patent number: 6275148
Abstract: A vehicle wheel information supply device for supplying wheel information relating to a state of a wheel of a vehicle, including a wheel state detector for detecting the state of the wheel, a wheel information generator for generating the wheel information relating to the state of the wheel, on the basis of an output of the wheel state detector, a transmitter for transmitting the wheel information, and a receiver which receives the wheel information transmitted by the transmitter, the wheel state detector, the wheel information generator and the transmitter being disposed on the wheel while the receiver being disposed on a body of said vehicle, wherein the wheel information generator is capable of selectively generating different kinds of wheel information having respective different volumes, and at least one of the wheel information generator and the transmitter operates in a manner depending upon at least one parameter indicative of the state of the wheel, which at least one parameter is detected by the whe

  • Patent number: 6259360
Abstract: The present invention offers a pressure monitor and a method of controlling the pressure monitor for a vehicle tire which enable reducing electric power consumption and issuing an alarm, when the tire pressure is equal to or lower than a predetermined alarm tire pressure. The pressure monitor comprises a signal sending device and a signal receiving device. The signal sending device includes a tire pressure sensor and a battery. The tire pressure sensor detects a tire pressure at each interval time, a predetermined unit time &dgr;t. The signal sending device sends an electric signal to the signal receiving device. The signal receiving device receives the electric signal from the signal sending device and issues an alarm when the detected tire pressure is equal to or lower than a predetermined tire pressure P1, P2 and P3 (P1>P2>P3). The signal sending device is installed on a wheel and is driven by the battery.

  • Patent number: 4190555
Abstract: A method is disclosed for preparing a catalyst system for polymerizing .alpha.-olefins. This method comprises admixing with at least an organoaluminum compound an activated titanium component which is prepared by first reacting a titanium compound of the general formula, TiX.sub.n (OR).sub.4-n (in which X is a halogen atom, R is an alkyl group or a phenyl group, and n is 2 to 4), with a metal of Group II or III of the Periodic Table and a halide of a metal of Group II or III of the Periodic Table in the presence of an aromatic compound, then treating the resulting reaction product with an oxygen-containing organic compound, and further treating with a tetrahalide of titanium, vanadium or both at a temperature of from -80.degree. C. to 80.degree. C., and finally aging at a temperature above 30.degree. C. for from 30 minutes to 24 hours.
