  • Publication number: 20060151151
Abstract: A radiator, a heat sink and a tank are disposed on circulating paths. The radiator includes a fan. The tank includes a pump for forcedly circulating fluid. A pump-fan drive unit is provided between the tank and the radiator. The fan and the pump are directly connected to a single motor so that they can be driven by the motor. The pump has a magnet rotor, and a rotor driver. The magnet rotor is accommodated in the tank so as to be rotatable. The rotor driver is fixedly provided in an end portion of an output shaft of the motor. The magnet rotor is magnetically driven to rotate by the rotor driver.

  • Patent number: 6844997
Abstract: In the engaging structure of a lead screw (51) with a head lift body (52), for simplification of a feeding side mechanism and improvement of feeding accuracy, the head lift body has only one fingernail shaped protrusion (551) as a member engaging with an external thread of the lead screw (51). The protrusion (551) is provided on an internal wall surface of a bearing portion (55) formed in an integral structure with the head lift body (52). Accordingly, the engagement of the external thread of the lead screw and the single protrusion converts the rotation movement of the lead screw (51) to the linear movement of the head lift body (52). As a result, a feeding accuracy in the linear movement converted from the rotation movement is only determined by a feeding accuracy of only the lead screw (51). In an example, the protrusion is a half-moon shaped plate.

  • Patent number: 6729569
Abstract: In a reel hub releasing mechanism, a seesaw type release lever is arranged so as to be turnable with its central part as a fulcrum, and it includes first and second flat members extending onto both sides from the fulcrum. The first flat member has an engaging protrusion at its distal end, while the second flat member has at its distal end a lever manipulating protrusion which protrudes upwards in order to manipulate a lock lever. A tape cartridge is formed with a window for snugly inserting the lever manipulating protrusion. When the lever manipulating protrusion abuts against the lock lever through the window, the operation of releasing reel hub lock is effected, and the tape cartridge is positioned so that the position of the window in the direction of inserting the tape cartridge into the slot of a tape drive may become substantially equal to the position of the lever manipulating protrusion in the inserting direction.

  • Publication number: 20030075638
Abstract: In a take-up reel for use in taking up a tape, a pair of flanges are connected to opposite ends of a cylindrical reel hub in an axial direction thereof, respectively. A take-up region is defined between the flanges as a region where the tape is taken up. Each of the flanges comprises a plurality of vanes extending outward from the reel hub in directions different from one another. Each vane has an inner peripheral portion and an outer peripheral portion smaller in mass than the inner peripheral portion.

  • Publication number: 20030076623
Abstract: In a high-density flexible disk drive, a color of at least a surface of a cover (22) (in addition, a color of at least a surface of an eject button (30)) is different from that of at least a surface of a body of a front panel (20). A user can visually distinguish the high-density flexible disk drive from a normal-density dedicated flexible disk drive in which a color of a surface of a cover is identical with that of a surface of a body of a front panel. Thus, a large-capacity flexible disk can be correctly inserted into the high-density flexible disk drive without being erroneously inserted into the normal-density dedicated flexible disk drive.

  • Patent number: 6477015
Abstract: A movable member 35 is moved back or forth by a motor 33. A carriage opening/closing member 41 which vertically guides a pair of projections 40 opposingly formed on opposed faces is disposed between upper and lower carriages 36 and 37 which are elastically supported on the movable member 35 and vertically opposed to each other. Reading/writing heads 19 which are opposingly disposed on the opposed faces of the upper and lower carriages 36 and 37 are separated from magnetic data recording surfaces 7 of a magnetic data recording medium 6. When the carriage opening/closing member is moved in a direction opposite to the above, the upper and lower reading/writing heads 19 are contacted with the magnetic data recording surfaces 7 by a predetermined load pressure.

  • Patent number: 6391139
Abstract: A disk cartridge includes a jacket body having upper and lower shells for receiving a magnetic disk medium therethrough. Upper and lower liners are adhered to inner surfaces of the upper and lower shells for removing fine dust attracted to upper and lower surfaces of the magnetic disk medium. In addition, upper and lower head windows are provided in the upper and lower shells, respectively, for permitting magnetic heads to access the magnetic disk medium when the magnetic disk medium is inserted through the upper and lower shells of the jacket body. A distance h1 is less than a distance h0, where h1 is the distance between said upper and said lower liners at a periphery of the upper and the lower head windows at least on an upstream side of the upper and the lower head windows with respect to a rotating direction of the magnetic disk medium, and h0 is the distance between the upper and the lower liners in a remaining area.
