  • Publication number: 20040233647
Abstract: An integrated electronic component includes a ceramic substrate incorporating circuit elements and/or having circuit elements mounted thereon, and a metal case mounted on the ceramic substrate. Notches are formed in substrate-facing segments of the metal case at the positions opposing the corners of the top surface of the ceramic substrate. The notches have a tapered shape having obtuse angles with respect to the top surface of the substrate. The notches may have a substantially circular arc shape. The substrate-facing segments having the notches are seamlessly connected to side segments of the metal case, bent in the vicinity of the notches, and supported by the bent portions in a cantilevered fashion.

  • Patent number: 6657943
Abstract: The feed mechanism has a lead screw 11, a pickup assembly 12, an engagement piece 13, and a restrictor piece 14, a compressed coil spring 15, and a bearing portion 16. The engagement piece 13 has a thread portion 41 engaged with a screw groove 23 of the lead screw 11. The engagement piece 13 moves along the lead screw 11 and can come close to and off from the lead screw 11. The pickup assembly 12 moves together with the engagement piece 13. The restrictor piece 14 prevents the engagement piece 13 from disengaging from the lead screw 11, except when the screw groove 23 moves apart from the thread portion 41. The compressed coil spring 15 urges the engagement piece 13 toward the lead screw 11. The bearing portion 16 rotatively supports the lead screw 11 and allows the lead screw 11 to move apart from the engagement piece 13 when the engagement piece 13 has reached an end thereof.

  • Patent number: 6656082
Abstract: In a hybrid vehicle of the present invention, a clutch motor, an assist motor, and an engine are connected via a dual clutch, which includes an inner clutch arranged between an inner shaft and a middle shaft and an outer clutch arranged between the middle shaft and an outer shaft. An inner rotor of the clutch motor and the engine are linked with the inner shaft. The assist motor is linked with the middle shaft. An outer rotor of the clutch motor and an axle are linked with the outer shaft. Changing the coupling state of the middle shaft changes over the connection of the assist motor between the engine and the clutch motor. The connection of the assist motor with the clutch motor in the state of underdrive or in the case of a requirement of abrupt acceleration desirably improves the driving efficiency and ensures the smooth acceleration.

  • Publication number: 20020159130
Abstract: A wavelength converter and a wavelength division-multiplexing optical communication apparatus automatically generate clock signals of a specified frequency that match send/receive digital signals and regenerates timing for the send/receive digital signals. The wavelength converter includes: optical/electrical signal converters (2A, 2B) that convert input optical signals into electric digital signals; clock generator circuits (4A, 4B) that automatically identify the transmission mode for digital signals and generate phase-synchronized clocks of a specified frequency that match the signal transmission mode; timing regeneration circuits (6A, 6B) that regenerate clock timing for said digital signals based upon the phase-synchronized clocks from the clock generator circuits; and electric/optical converters (3A, 3B) that convert the digital signals from said timing regeneration circuits into optical signals of a specified wavelength.

  • Patent number: 6404160
Abstract: In a numerical control apparatus 1, a synchronous control management unit 11 manages the dominant relation of plural axes to be controlled synchronously. In case of the position control system, in the axis control unit which controls the reference axis, a synchronous position calculation processing unit 74 calculates the command position to the reference axis. On the other hand, in the axis control unit which control the synchronous axis, the synchronous position calculation processing unit 74 calculates the moving stroke per unit time of the synchronous axis, thereby calculating the command position to the synchronous axis. One axis control unit which controls the reference axis and plural axis control units for controlling the synchronous axes issue the calculated command positions, and control the individual corresponding motors, and therefore control plural axes synchronously to one reference axis, and further control other axis synchronously by reference to the corresponding synchronous axis.

  • Publication number: 20020003416
Abstract: In a numerical control apparatus 1, a synchronous control management unit 11 manages the dominant relation of plural axes to be controlled synchronously. In case of the position control system (synchronous control of axes), in the axis control unit which controls the reference axis, a synchronous position calculation processing unit 74 calculates the command position to the reference axis, by adding the moving stroke of the reference axis calculated in an axis control command value converting unit 72 to the reference position of the reference axis.

  • Publication number: 20010038595
Abstract: An information recording and/or reproducing apparatus is provided that includes a recording and/or reproducing device, a transportation device, a power source, and a controller. The recording and/or reproducing device records and/or reproduces information from an information medium, and the transportation device transports the information medium along a transportation path between a loading area and the recording and/or reproducing device. The power source supplies power to the transportation device, and the transportation device imparts a first load on the power source when the transportation device transports the information medium along a first portion of the transportation path. Also, the transportation device imparts a second load on the power source when the transportation device transports the information medium along a second portion of the transportation path.

  • Patent number: 6298032
Abstract: A clamping device consists of a disk table for setting thereon a disk-like recording medium bearing recorded information, and a clamper which cooperates with the disk table to hold the recording medium therebetween. At least one of the disk table and the damper is formed of polypropylene at where to contact with the recording medium. If a special disk, which has a high-temperature softening film on its label surface, is clamped under high temperature conditions for a long time, and the film softens and thereafter re-solidifies as the temperature lowers, a smooth release of the recording medium is attained.
