  • Patent number: 5780825
Abstract: An automatic teller machine having an operation guide, an input unit, a transaction medium handling unit a halt requesting unit for requesting suspension of a transaction, a transaction recording unit for recording transaction information including information entered up to the point when the transaction suspension was requested and also for recording a transaction processing stage arrived at when the transaction suspension was requested, and an unreleased medium storing unit. When a transaction suspension is requested, a transaction resumption procedure is guided by the operation guide and, based on this transaction resumption procedure, the suspended transaction processing is resumed from the transaction processing stage recorded in the transaction recording unit by using the transaction information recorded in the transaction recording unit to release the transaction media stored in the unreleased medium storing unit.

  • Patent number: 5186334
Abstract: A bank note handling apparatus of a circulating type utilizes bank notes deposited by customers as payable bank notes. The following devices are provided in the form of a loop in a conveying passage downstream from a paying-in and paying-out device for use in depositing or withdrawing bank notes by customers: bank note stacking devices for stacking circulated bank notes; a first discriminating device for discriminating bank notes; a bank note receiving device for receiving bank notes that are not to be circulated; a second discriminating device for discriminating bank notes; a device for properly arranging the obverse and reverse sides of bank notes; and a temporary receiving device for temporarily receiving bank notes to be deposited or withdrawn. Hence, the conveying passages for the paying-in and paying-out device and the respective stacking devices are shortened, reducing the processing time.

  • Patent number: 5120945
Abstract: A transaction recording system comprises means for inputting transaction data, means for storing said transaction data, means for writing the transaction data input from said inputting means into said storing means, means for reading out required transaction data from said storing means and outputting them, and means for changing account processing data of a memo item and its related items among the transaction data stored in said storing means. A transaction recording method comprises the steps corresponding to the respective means of the system. The transaction recording system and method permit the transaction data to be later changed thereby to provide data useful for processing an account such as a household account book.

  • Patent number: 5100022
Abstract: A sheet container is detachably attached to a sheet dispenser mechanism. A stack of sheets stored in the sheet container are taken out by take-out rollers and introduced into nip sections defined between feed rollers and frictional separation rollers which are opposed to and pressedly contacted with the feed rollers, and the stack of sheets are separated from one another to be delivered. The take-out rollers and the feed rollers are provided in the sheet dispenser mechanism, while the frictional separation rollers are provided in the sheet container. The sheet container includes a front plate which determines the position of the front part of the stack of sheets therewithin, and a lower end portion of the front plate is formed with projections which protrude toward the stack of sheets. The projections restrict the position of the lower end portion of the front part of the stack of sheets in the nip sections between the feed rollers and the frictional separation rollers.

  • Patent number: 4718655
Abstract: Paper sheets transported from a transporting line are stacked successively into a receiving station by a vane-wheel type receiving and guiding device. The paper sheets stacked in the receiving station are taken out to a subsequent transporting line one by one by a friction pick-up and separating and feeding device. The friction pick-up and/or the vane-wheel type receiving and guiding device are rotatable. The friction pick-up is retracted from the surface of the stacked paper sheets when the paper sheets are stacked and when the paper sheets are taken out and is moved to abut the surface of the stacked paper sheets to thereby permit the taking out of the paper sheets.

  • Patent number: 4653742
Abstract: This invention relates to a apparatus for separating and feeding sheets such as sheets of paper comprising an accommodation box for accommodating the sheets of paper stacked by their own weight, a pick-up roller provided so that the upper surface thereof projects into the interior of the box to bear the weight of the stacked sheets of paper, a separation arrangement comprising a frictional roller and the feed roller and provided so as to face an ejection port of the accommodation box from which sheets are sent out to the separation arrangement, and a support arrangement disposed on the side opposite to the ejection port supports the end, opposite to the ejection port, of the sheets of paper, and for allowing the lowermost sheet end to be free of the weight of the sheet thereabove when the lowermost sheet is moved to the ejection port side so that frictional resistance of the lowermost sheet is reduced greatly and the pick-up roller can surely pick up and convey the sheet one by one from the lower side of the
