Patent number: 5236730Abstract: A candy is formed from a setting material which includes a boiled down, cooled and solidified jelly syrup, mixed and scattered as small pieces in a soft bulk material containing fats and oils which are separately boiled down and cooled. The quality can be prevented from deteriorating by saccharification by use of the jelly, and softness and smoothness of the candy to the tongue can be preserved for a long time. A relatively large amount of jelly can be mixed into the bulk material without damaging the appearance of the candy.Type: GrantFiled: September 13, 1991Date of Patent: August 17, 1993Assignee: Sakuma Seika Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Takao Yamada, Yoshio Iijima

Patent number: 5035051Abstract: A bearing bush includes a cylindrical portion for bearing a radial load on a rotating shaft, and a flange formed integral with the cylindrical portion and adapted to bear a thrust load on the rotating shaft. The flange has a through hole at its center. Accordingly, it is not necessary for the rotating shaft born by the bearing bush to be formed with a step. The rotating shaft can therefore be reduced in its diameter.Type: GrantFiled: October 16, 1989Date of Patent: July 30, 1991Assignee: Daido Metal Company Ltd.Inventor: Yoshio Iijima

Patent number: 4948616Abstract: There is disclosed a sweetened condensed milk composition comprising palatinose and palatinose syrup. The final solid weight ratio of palatinose to palatinose syrup is less than 2:1 and preferably not more than 1:1. The sugar composition of a constituent sugar solution preferably includes not more than 70% of palatinose and not less than 20% trehalulose. Preferably, milk solid is not less than 25% and water is not more than 30% of the composition. Suitable milks may be selected from the group consisting of raw milk, partially fat-removed milk, nonfat milk and processed milk. Other suitable milk products may be selected from the group consisting of evaporated milk and evaporated nonfat milk. There is also disclosed a method for producing a sweetened condensed milk composition.Type: GrantFiled: May 2, 1989Date of Patent: August 14, 1990Assignee: Lotte Company LimitedInventors: Yoshio Iijima, Ryohei Yamabe, Masahiro Nakatsukasa, Hiroko Ogiwara

Patent number: 4535517Abstract: A connecting rod for a radial piston motor including a spherical surface portion, a rod portion and a pad portion having a sliding surface. The spherical surface portion, rod portion and pad portion are formed integrally, and the sliding surface has a bearing alloy attached to its surface by centrifugal casting. An overlay may be provided on the bearing alloy. The connecting rod is produced in a mass production basis by a method including the steps of integrally forming a star-shape cylindrical monolithic blank (18) having a single cylindrical centrally located axial opening and bearing six equally spaced outwardly radiating rod portions (2), each rod portion bearing an integral, substantially spherical surface portion (1) on its distal end; attaching a bearing alloy by centrifugal casting, to the centrally located axial opening in said blank (18); machining the surface of the bearing alloy; and dividing the blank into six pieces constituting six connecting rods.Type: GrantFiled: October 3, 1983Date of Patent: August 20, 1985Assignee: Daido Metal Company Ltd.Inventor: Yoshio Iijima

Patent number: 4432122Abstract: A connecting rod for a radial piston motor including a spherical surface portion, a rod portion and a pad portion having a sliding surface. The spherical surface portion, rod portion and pad portion are formed integrally, and the sliding surface has a bearing alloy attached to its surface by centrifugal casting. An overlay may be provided on the bearing alloy. The connecting rod is produced in a mass production basis by a method including the steps of integrally forming the spherical surface portion, rod portion and pad portion into a blank, assembling a plurality of such blanks in ring form and welding them together at joints into a single blank, machining the sliding surface of the pad portion of the blank, attaching a bearing alloy by centrifugal casting to the sliding surface of the pad portion, machining the surface of the bearing alloy, and dividing the blank at the joints into a plurality of pieces constituting a plurality of connecting rods.Type: GrantFiled: March 11, 1981Date of Patent: February 21, 1984Assignee: Daido Metal Co. Patent number: 4310939Abstract: In producing a semicircular washer having a projection to prevent rotation formed thereon, a blank material in the form of a flat bar is forced to pass a roll caliber between upper and lower forming rolls arranged in a pair and bent on and along one of the forming rolls while being pressed in the breadthwise direction to become a semicircular washer. The semicircular washer then has its outer marginal portion punched out by means of a punch and a die to form thereon a projection for preventing rotation. The method ensures an increase in the yield of semicircular washers having a projection for preventing rotation and enables the projection to be formed in any position on the washer as desired.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 1979Date of Patent: January 19, 1982Assignee: Daido Metal Company Ltd.Inventor: Yoshio Iijima

Patent number: 4292718Abstract: A method of producing metal bearings first by forming grooves substantially V-shaped in cross section on opposite surfaces of a composite plate in the form of a web comprising a bearing alloy layer and a backing metal layer and then by cutting the composite plate at the grooves to form severed portions of the composite plate into metal bearings, wherein cutting of the composite plate and forming of the severed portions thereof into metal bearings are carried out in one stroke so as to efficiently produce metal bearings. In forming the substantially V-shaped grooves, embossing or cutting may be used singly or they may be used in combination.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 1979Date of Patent: October 6, 1981Assignee: Daido Metal Company Ltd.Inventor: Yoshio Iijima

Patent number: 4151733Abstract: A method of producing thrust washers in which a blank material in the form of a flat bar is forced to pass between an upper and a lower forming rolls arranged as a pair. The blank material is pressed onto one of the forming rolls to be bent in the breadthwise direction to become a thrust washer. The upper and the lower rolls cooperate with each other in defining therebetween a groove having a configuration corresponding to the cross section of the article to be obtained, through which the blank is made to pass. This method ensures an economical production of ring-shaped or arcuately shaped articles having accurate dimensions.Type: GrantFiled: May 3, 1977Date of Patent: May 1, 1979Assignee: Daido Metal Company Ltd.Inventor: Yoshio Iijima
