    Abstract: There is disclosed a multi-stage compressing refrigeration device for multi-stage compressing a refrigerant using a plurality of compressing means. Its object is to enhance reliability, intend to reduce input and improve refrigeration effect, and to enhance efficiency. In the multi-stage compressing refrigeration device, low-stage compressing means and high-stage compressing means, a condenser, first expanding means, an intermediate evaporator, second expanding means and a main evaporator constitute a refrigeration cycle. The refrigerant flowing out of the condenser is branched into one refrigerant passed to the intermediate evaporator via the first expanding means and the other refrigerant passed to the main evaporator via the second expanding means. Heat exchange is performed between the refrigerant flowing into the second expanding means and the intermediate evaporator.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor has a first scroll member and a second scroll member rotated in the same direction as the first scroll member. A limit plate is provided to limit an axial movement of one of the scroll members with respect to the other. A pressure chamber is formed between the limit plate and an end plate of the scroll member, and the pressure chamber is connected to a compression space formed by the two scroll members. A resilient sealing device is provided in the pressure chamber so that the sealing device is contacted with at least one of the limit plate and the end plate of the scroll member.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor incorporates an electric motor unit and a scroll compressor unit in a sealed container. The scroll compressor unit has a frame having a bearing at the center thereof, a first scroll driven by the electric motor unit having an end plate and a wrap of an involute curve projecting from the end plate, and a second scroll having an end plate and a wrap of an involute curve projecting from the end plate of the second scroll provided in a juxtaposed relation with the first scroll so that the wraps of the two scrolls are fitted closely together to form a plurality of compression spaces. A driving device rotates the second scroll in the same direction as the first scroll.

    Abstract: A scroll compressor having a fixed scroll member and an orbiting scroll member. The fixed scroll member has an end plate and a wrap attached to the end plate in an involute curve and, similarly, the orbiting scroll member has an end plate and a wrap attached to the end plate thereof in a juxtaposed relation with the fixed scroll member so that the wraps of the two scroll members are fitted closely together. A check valve is provided so that an exhaust opening of the end plate is always opened when the compressor is in its operation and closed only when the operation is stopped.

    Abstract: A hermetically sealed motor compressor for use in a small-size refrigerating machine, refrigerator, freezer and the like has a compressor on which is mounted a silencer comprising in combination a suction muffler of thermal insulating and a discharge muffler made of formed metal plates. The suction muffler has an suction port disposed near the open end of a suction coupling fixed to a sealed casing, and also has an connection pipe connected to a compressor cylinder and having a distal end fitted directly in a hole defined in an head plate which is mounted on the head of the cylinder. A refrigerant gas as it is introduced from the suction coupling into the sealed casing can be drawn into the cylinder through the suction port, the suction muffler and the connection pipe to minimize heat transfer to the suction gas, so that the compressor can increase its volumetric efficiency.
