  • Patent number: 4549239
Abstract: A head carriage for use in a contact-type magnetic recording/reproducing system, in particular a floppy disc system, comprises a carriage main body, a magnetic head fixedly mounted on the carriage main body and a resiliently supported arm for carrying thereon either another magnetic head for double-sided operation or a pressure pad for single-sided operation. In one aspect of the present invention, linear coefficients of expansions of various parts of the head carriage are determined so as to maintain a proper alignment between the two magnetic heads which are disposed in opposed relationship. In another aspect of the present invention, there is provided a specifically shaped pressure contact member for supporting a pressure pad to keep a desired contact condition between the magnetic head and a recording medium.

  • Patent number: 4280693
Abstract: In a sheet feeding device for a printing apparatus for feeding one sheet after another to a printing station, a stopper hook is located slightly posterior to point of contact between a platen and a roller or between two rollers brought into and out of pressing contact with each other, and a sheet fed to the printing station is stopped by the stopper hook and has its position corrected, if it has a skew, while the platen and the roller or the two rollers are out of contact with each other. Thus a sheet free from skew is pressed by the roller against the platen or the roller to enable automatic skewless sheet feeding to be effected.
