    Abstract: A plurality of cutting edges that are arranged on an outer circumference of a shaft-shaped broach body are provided with a spline teeth group, which contains a plurality of spline teeth 8 that groove a prepared hole of a work material, and a round teeth group, which is disposed in a different position from the spline teeth group along an axis direction and contains a plurality of round teeth that machine an inner circumference of the prepared hole. At least one gullet is formed to extend along the outer circumference of the broach body in a circumferential direction around the axis between the round teeth that are adjacent to one another in the axis direction in the round teeth group. The gullet extends toward the axis direction, gradually twisting toward the circumferential direction. The spline teeth group and the round teeth group are formed integrally on the outer circumference of the broach body.

    Abstract: In a design method of torsion bars used for a trunk lid, free shapes of the torsion bars unhitched from the trunk lid are designed. A center line model of the initial free shape is geometrically and statically created on the basis of a design specification. The center line model of an open shape is created from the free shape model and is deformed into a center line model of a closed modified shape. The center line models of the analyzed closed shape and the target closed shape is compared with each other to obtain a difference torque and a difference vector occurring between corresponding nodes on the center lines. The center line model is so changed as to decrease the difference torque and the difference vector.

    Abstract: In a compressor having a compressor body and a motor integrated with one another and having the structure in which the sub-assembly of the motor portion and the compressor body are assembled by positioning the centers of the motor casing and compressor casing with positioning pins, when the deformation of the flange surface of the motor casing is large on the side of the compressor casing, the positioning pin holes may have positional dimensions where the positioning is difficult. Therefore, the rigidity of the motor casing may need to be increased not to change the dimensional positions of the pin holes of the motor casing after the sub-assembly process. Inside the motor casing, fastening seats to fasten a motor stator by use of fastening members and ribs to reinforce the fastening seats are provided. As a result, the rigidity of the motor casing is increased, and the deformation of the positional dimensions of the positional pin holes can be inhibited.

    Abstract: An aluminum salt is dissolved into water as a solvent to prepare an aqueous solution of the aluminum salt. Urea is added to the aqueous solution of the aluminum salt to be dissolved into the solution. The solution is heated to produce a precipitation of aluminum hydroxide. A deflocculant is added to deflocculate the precipitation. Thus, a sol is produced which contains colloidal particles of aluminum hydroxide and crystalline particles of aluminum oxide. An even and dense alumina thin film can be produced by using the sol on a surface of a substrate made of a metal having a low melting point, such as copper or aluminum.
