  • Publication number: 20110071537
Abstract: Disclosed is an intra-medullary rod, including: a cylindrical body made of an X-ray transmitting material; a plurality of wires, which are made of a material that does not transmit X-ray and are deposited at regular intervals along a surface of the cylindrical body in the circumferential direction, being extended in an axial direction in a spiral shape, wherein each of the wires is made in a way that a starting end and a terminating end of the cylindrical body are connected by the shortest distance along the outer surface thereof. In a fluoroscopic image of the cylindrical body, a distance from a reference position to an intersection location of a pair of the wires corresponds to an amount of rotational angle of the intra-medullary rod. By digitizing the intersection location, the rotational angle of the intra-medullary rod is measured.

  • Publication number: 20100145346
Abstract: A jig and a system for supporting artificial hip joint with which an artificial shelf can be arranged at an ideal arranging position more easily at reduced facility cost. Since existing arthroscope (3) and a medical drill generally used in an operating room are fixed to and held on a small jig (4) for supporting artificial hip joint replacement of simple arrangement which can be fixed to the shell of a patient, correct profile of the shell HC of the patient at current moment in time can be recognized easily and surely with an arthroscope (3). Furthermore, since drilling position and direction of the medical drill can be determined using a first two-dimensional coordinates and a second two-dimensional coordinates, the shell HC of the patient can be shaped into ideal profile accurately without using an expensive special device for exclusive use and thereby the artificial shell can be arranged at an ideal position more easily.

  • Publication number: 20060211893
Abstract: To provide a bisphenol A production process which can inhibit deterioration of the cation exchange resin catalyst used in the reaction step to enable long-time stabilized production of bisphenol A. Means for Implementation: A process for producing bisphenol A by reacting the raw materials acetone and phenol in the presence of a catalyst, in which one of the following means (1)-(3) is used: (1) In supplying to the reaction step the raw materials and the acetone recovered from the reaction step, the lower alcohol concentration in the whole amount of acetone supplied to the reaction step is adjusted to be not more than 100 ppm. (2) In supplying to the reaction step the raw materials and those recovered from the reaction step, the lower alcohol concentration in the reaction solution discharged from the reaction step is adjusted to be not more than 30 ppm.

  • Patent number: 7034191
Abstract: A continuous crystallization process comprising the steps of supplying a crystallization material containing bisphenol A to a crystallizer to form crystals of an adduct of bisphenol A and phenol or crystals of bisphenol A, subjecting the slurry discharged from the crystallizer to solid/liquid separation, and recovering the crystals, wherein part of the mother liquor is circulated to the crystallizer. According to this process, the heat duty to be removed is reduced, deposition of solids on the inner surfaces of the crystallizer, particularly on the heat transferring surface of the cooler is restrained, and consequently the continuous operating time of the apparatus is prolonged.

  • Publication number: 20050256389
Abstract: The present invention provides an arthroplasty supporting information calculation method for supporting diagnoses of a patient with knee disordered and total joint replacement to a total knee component, and an arthroplasty supporting information calculation program, and an arthroplasty supporting information calculation system. In an arthroplasty supporting terminal of the present invention, photographed X-ray images are acquired using X-ray irradiation mechanisms and a dedicated cassette base, Approximate three-dimensional data of a patient's bones is then created by transforming a display image of three-dimensional data of CT of the patient and/or sample bones to match the X-ray image in which the patient's bones are photographed. Three-dimensional coordinate values are then determined for this approximate three-dimensional data of the patient's bones. From these three-dimensional coordinate values, parameters are determined for evaluating positional relationships between at least two bones.

  • Publication number: 20050124742
Abstract: A process for preparing a water-based pigment dispersion, including the steps of (A) mixing an emulsified composition containing a water-insoluble polymer having a salt-forming group, an organic solvent having a solubility of 5 to 40 parts by weight in 100 parts by weight of water at 20° C., a neutralizing agent and water with a pigment so that the content of non-volatile components in the mixture of the emulsified composition and the pigment is 15 to 50% by weight, and the weight ratio of the organic solvent to water (weight of organic solvent/weight of water) is 0.1 to 0.9; (B) dispersing the resulting mixture; and (C) removing the organic solvent from the mixture. The water-based pigment dispersion prepared by the process can be suitably used, for instance, in a water-based ink for inkjet recording being capable of giving an ink mechanical energy generated by piezoelectric element or the like, and thermal energy generated by a heating member, thereby jetting the ink from a jetting head.
