  • Publication number: 20100112335
Abstract: A foamed layer-laminated film or sheet having a foamed layer of a thermoplastic resin laminated on a base material such as a paper or PET, and is useful as a material for producing formed articles such as paper containers, aluminum foil containers, packing films and sheets for containing high-temperature foods, beverages and the like owing to its enhanced heat-insulating property. The foamed layer has innumerable fine elongated foamed cells, and local shades of distribution density of the cells create an appearance of vertical striped patterns on a frosted-glass-like translucent background lending the laminated film or sheet well for use as a material for ornamental articles. The invention further provides a process for easily producing the film or sheet maintaining good productivity at a low cost.

  • Publication number: 20040245382
Abstract: An aircraft comprises fuel tanks for storing liquid fuel, water reservoirs for storing reforming water, reforming devices for generating a high temperature steam by heating the reforming water from the water reservoirs to generate hydrogen by the chemical reaction of the generated steam with the liquid fuel from the fuel tanks, and engines of generating the thrust by the combustion of the hydrogen thus generated in the reforming devices. The utilization of the aircraft allows the fuel cost to be reduced about ¼ times, compared with that arisen in the conventional jet engine aircrafts. The liquid fuel of hydrogen also allows the emission of pollution material to be greatly reduced.

  • Patent number: 5167383
Abstract: A STOL aircraft includes propfan engines which are each connected to a lower surface of one of the wings by a pylon. The propfan engine is located directly below the wing and are each equipped with fans at a rear portion thereof. A slat is connected to a leading edge of the wing and not divided by any object, including the pylon and the propfan engine.

  • Patent number: 4825131
Abstract: A DC voltage on an electric car stringing is supplied to a variable voltage and variable frequency PWM inverter so as to be converted into a three-phase alternating current which is supplied to a plurality of three-phase induction motors. The motors are connected to different wheels to drive an electric car. The inverter is controlled on the basis of an operating frequency command determined by adding or subtracting a slip frequency command to or from a motor speed and a voltage command proportional to the operating frequency command. On the other hand, a motor current command is set and compared with a maximum current value of currents of the plurality of motors, and the slip frequency command is corrected in accordance with a difference therebetween.

  • Patent number: 4136305
Abstract: A power converter control apparatus comprising continuously controlled converter units and on-off controlled converter units for effecting powering control and regenerative braking control of a DC motor, which is arranged to include a unit change circuit for generating unit changing operation signals in response to a command for instructing the number of the converter units to be rendered operative from a master controllerand conduction phase signals from a phase shifter. In accordance with the unit changing operation signals, the conduction phase signals from the phase shifter are applied as a gate signal to the continuously controlled converter units in response to a powering control or a regenerative braking command, while a minimum conduction phase signal is applied as a gate signal to the on-off controlled converter units in response to a powering control command signal and a maximum conduction phase signal including a commutation marginal angle in response to a regenerative braking command signal.

  • Patent number: 4122515
Abstract: This invention is applied to a power converter with a converting apparatus comprising one or more units including only controlled rectifiers or combination of controlled rectifiers and non-controlled rectifiers, said converting apparatus being connected with an AC power source, whereby high harmonic currents generated in the AC circuit during commutating periods are reduced. In the present invention, at the commutating period of the converting apparatus, the reactance in the AC circuit of the converter is changed to increase in accordance with change of the AC current of the converting apparatus, so that the change of the AC current during the commutating period is made more slowly thereby reducing high harmonic currents.
