  • Publication number: 20120308220
Abstract: A camera body to which an interchangeable lens capable of changing zoom magnification is mountable. The camera body includes a sound pickup section that picks up sounds to generate audio data and a sound processor that changes settings relating to directionality of the sound pickup section in conjunction with the zoom magnification of the interchangeable lens. When the interchangeable lens is positioned to provide the minimum magnification of zoom, the sound processor sets the directionality of the sound pickup section to a directionality by which sounds in the widest region can be picked up based on the zoom range information. When the interchangeable lens is positioned to provide the maximum magnification of zoom, the sound processor sets the directionality of the sound pickup section to a directionality by which sounds in the narrowest region can be picked up based on the zoom range information.

  • Publication number: 20120127342
Abstract: A sound processing apparatus includes a sound input unit configured to input a sound signal, a signal processor having a band-limiting filter for limiting a passing band of the sound signal, and being configured to apply a predetermined signal processing on a sound signal output from the band-limiting filter, and a controller configured to control a band width of the passing band of the band-limiting filter. The controller changes the band width of the passing band according to a level of the sound signal, and makes a speed at the time of expanding the band width faster than a speed at the time of narrowing the band width.

  • Publication number: 20100208914
Abstract: The present invention provides a microphone device in which the directivity of the microphone is automatically adjustable depending on the position of the head of the speaker. The microphone device 201 mounted on a vehicle, includes a plurality of sound pickup units 203, 204 which generate an input signal depending on changes in an acoustic pressure caused by a sound wave; a position detecting unit 202 which detects a position of a head of a predetermined occupant in the vehicle; and an arithmetic processing unit 209 which performs a predetermined directive arithmetic process for the input signal based on the position of the head detected by the position detecting unit 202 and positions of the sound pickup units 203, 204.
