  • Publication number: 20210184229
Abstract: [Problem] Provided are a metal material including a passive film on a surface and having corrosion resistance while having a small contact resistance, and a method for producing the metal material. Examples of the metal material include a material that is preferable as a material of a separator and a current collector plate in a fuel cell. [Solution] Conductive particles 3 are embedded in and caused to adhere to a metal substrate 1 including, on a surface thereof, a passive film 2, in a state where the conductive particles 3 penetrate the passive film 2 in a thickness direction, and the surface of the metal substrate is covered with a coating film having conductivity and corrosion resistance. To cause the conductive particles to adhere in such a manner, the conductive particles 3 may be scattered on the metal substrate 1 on which the passive film 2 is formed, and the conductive particles 3 may be pushed into the surface of the metal substrate 1 by pressing with a roll or the like.

  • Publication number: 20200350599
Abstract: To provide a sheet formed product that, in addition to being thin, has a small groove interval, groove width, and groove depth, that has a large contact surface area with oxygen gas or hydrogen gas, that is suitable for simply and at low cost producing a lightweight compact separator, and a manufacturing method for same. In the sheet formed product (amorphous thin sheet) according to the present invention, a metal matrix on which is formed a passivation layer on a surface layer thereof and that exhibits corrosion resistance has a three-dimensional surface structure, for example a groove-like uneven shape on a surface thereof. On the front surface having the uneven shape (or also on the back surface), particles of a conductive material component penetrate the passivation layer, and are exposed on the surface without being in solid solution in the metal matrix.

  • Patent number: 10323153
Abstract: [Problem] To provide a corrosion-resistant coating that exhibits greater corrosion protection in saltwater environments and the like than was conventional, a method for forming the same, and a device for forming the same. [Solution] A corrosion-resistant alloy coating is formed on a substrate surface by: a) using a thermal spray gun, having a function wherein a flame including melted material particles is jetted toward a substrate, and the flame is partitioned from the open air in an upstream region on said jet path (which is to say the region in which the material particles are melted), and a function wherein, in a downstream region (the area continuing from the upstream region), the material particles and the flame are forcibly cooled by a jet-gas or jet-mist before reaching the substrate; and b) using a corrosion-resistant alloy material comprising aluminum, for the material particles.
