    Abstract: In a drive device of control rod drive mechanisms, a large number of control rod drive mechanisms are divided into a plurality of groups, and there are provided, for each group, a control rod changeover device, and an inverter power source and inverter controller constituting the drive power source. The drive device comprises a control unit that receives control rod position signals from each of the control rod drive mechanisms and that outputs control signals to the control rod changeover device and inverter controller, and a man-machine device constituting an interface with the operator, that outputs control rod drive information to this control unit.
