Abstract: A rating server is provided with: a rating acquisition unit configured to acquire, from a user who purchased content sold in a plurality of types of sales modes, a rating for the content; a rating collection unit configured to determine, by collecting the rating given by a user on the content having the same title, the degree of the rating for the content based on a title regardless of a difference or a similarity in a sales mode of the content purchased by the user; and a rating information providing unit configured to provide, to an external apparatus, the degree of the rating for the content based on the title as a result of the rating for the content by the user.
