  • Patent number: 5431150
Abstract: An endoscope cover-sheathed endoscope is composed of an endoscope having an elongated insertional part that is inserted into a living body, and an endoscope cover including an insertional part cover in which an endoscope insertion channel into which the elongated insertional part is inserted is formed. A tube cap with which the terminal of a tube, which communicates with the endoscope insertion channel and feeds air to the endoscope insertion channel in order to enable insertion or removal of the insertional part into or from the endoscope insertion channel, is coupled is shielded with a cap cover, thus preventing spread of contamination.

  • Patent number: 4871229
Abstract: A method for assembling optical fiber bundles in an endoscope, comprising an insertion step of passing at least one optical fiber bundle through a flexible tube constituting an insertion section of the endoscope, a fitting step of fitting a reinforcement pipe member on an end portion of the optical fiber bundle passed through the flexible tube, and a coupling step of coupling the opposite end portions of the optical fiber bundle, on which the reinforcement pipe member is fitted, individually to a control section and a distal end member of the endoscope.

  • Patent number: 4836211
Abstract: A medical treatment apparatus utilizing ultrasonic vibrations includes an ultrasonic vibration generator having an ultrasonic oscillator with a first through-hole formed therein. A liquid supply device is communicated with one end of the first through-hole, and a second through-hole of a horn mounted on the ultrasonic vibration generator is communicated with the other end of the first through-hole. A transmission member for transmitting ultrasonic vibrations is connected to a front portion of the horn, and a tube member is arranged to surround the transmission member. A passage formed between the tube and transmission members is coupled to the second through-hole by coupling members, and the transmission member is slightly protruded from the distal end of the tube member. Therefore, a sufficient amount of the liquid supplied from the liquid supply device can be flowed through the passage.

  • Patent number: 4827907
Abstract: An intra-observation apparatus comprises an endoscope inserted into the blood vessel, a television camera for converting to an image signal an image which is obtained from the distal end of the endoscope, an endoscopic image analyzer for determining the state of observation at a region of interest on the basis of the image signal and an injector device for controlling the level of an injection flow into the blood vessel in accordance with the state of observation at the region of interest. The analyzer determines an occupation area of the blood level on the observation image and the injector device injects into the blood vessel the injection flow level of the liquid in accordance with the blood level.

  • Patent number: 4790295
Abstract: The endoscope of the invention has a very fine insertion section which is capable of being inserted into, for example, a blood vessel. The insertion section has at its outer periphery a thin-walled hollow cylindrical sheath, one end of which has an opening to the outside. The sheath contains a light guide fiber bundle for emitting a beam of illumination light into the blood vessel, an object lens group for receiving a beam reflected from the blood vessel, in order to form an image, and an image guide fiber bundle for transmitting the image formed. In addition, the sheath has at one end thereof a recess portion having a side wall defined by the sheath, a bottom wall defined by the light guide fiber bundle, and an opening to the outside. A transparent resin layer of a uniform thickness is arranged within the recess portion, and seals the inside of the sheath at one end, one end face of the resin layer being substantially flush with the one end of the sheath.

  • Patent number: 4756303
Abstract: In an insertion section of an endoscope according to the present invention, a plurality of flexible segment tubes, each having a predetermined length and a predetermined inside diameter, constitute necessary ducts for the endoscope, individually. The ducts include an image guide duct, light guide duct, instrument channel duct, and air/water channel duct. The flexible segment tubes are fixed in a housing tube. In manufacturing the insertion section, optical fibers and the like are inserted into the flexible tubes, fixed in the housing tube. Once the housing tube is molded, the respective sectional configurations of the flexible tubes are kept uniform, even though the housing tube may contract. Thus, the optical fibers and other elements can be inserted easily into the ducts.
