Patent number: 6514907Abstract: A bromine-impregnated activated carbon wherein the contents of any alkali metal, any alkali earth metal and iron are not higher than 0.3 wt % and the content of bromine is not lower than 3 wt %, with respect to the weight of a material activated carbon. The bromine-impregnated activated carbon has improved adsorption characteristics to the alkyl sulfides, which have not been sufficiently removed by activated carbons prepared by the conventional techniques. Further, variations in the absorption characteristics can be reduced and the activated carbon can exhibit a stable performance in removing the alkyl sulfides.Type: GrantFiled: July 24, 1998Date of Patent: February 4, 2003Assignee: Takeda Chemical Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Yoshio Tsutsumi, Teruo Fukui, Katsuya Noguchi, Takashi Kobayashi, Ayako Kobayashi, Tsuyoshi Yoshidome

Patent number: 5670124Abstract: A nitrogen-containing molecular sieving carbon which contains at least 0.1 weight % nitrogen bonded to constituent carbon of the activated carbon. It exhibits improved ability to remove nitrogen oxides compared with the conventional adsorption methods using commercially available activated carbons or other absorbents. Also an economically advantageous system for removing nitrogen oxides is provided which needs no reducing agent such as ammonia, no oxidizing agent such as ozone, or no electrical and physical energy such as electron rays or ultraviolet light in its operation, needs no expensive catalysts, and can be semipermanently operated with regular changes of the relatively low-priced activated carbon.Type: GrantFiled: February 29, 1996Date of Patent: September 23, 1997Assignee: Takeda Chemical Industries, Ltd.Inventors: Kiyoshi Itoga, Yoshio Tsutsumi, Masanori Tsuji, Ayako Tatebayashi

Patent number: 4918552Abstract: A cassette tape recorder is provided for suppressing vibration of a cassette during operation of the tape recorder by placing an elastic vibration suppressing sheet on the surface of a hiding plate. The surface of the suppressing sheet which faces the cassette includes a number of projections. In a second embodiment of the invention, a cassette stabilizer is provided having a device for opening and closing a door of the tape recorder, a pushing member for pushing the cassette placed in a housing of the door, and a pulling coupler which is disengaged from the push member when the door is opened, and which is engaged with the push member when the door is closed for shoving the push member onto the cassette.Type: GrantFiled: August 4, 1988Date of Patent: April 17, 1990Assignee: Pioneer Electronic CorporationInventors: Yoshio Tsutsumi, Seiichi Suzuki

Patent number: 4644334Abstract: A monitoring apparatus for a construction machine having an engine includes sensors for detecting abnormality conditions at various predetermined inspection positions. A warning system, cooperating with the sensors, provides an engine idling signal and a visual display in accordance with the detected abnormality condition. A delay circuit causes the warning system to activate the visual display only if the abnormality condition continues for a predetermined time after issuance of the engine idling signal. The engine idling signal itself is provided without delay upon detection of the abnormality condition, and causes the engine to idle.Type: GrantFiled: January 31, 1986Date of Patent: February 17, 1987Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Komatsu SeisakushoInventors: Tokuhiro Yato, Yoshio Tsutsumi

Patent number: 4563651Abstract: The threshold level for demodulating an FM signal, for instance a television picture signal, has been improved or lowered by adaptively restricting the bandwidth of the signal using an adaptive bandpass filter, and therefore, the picture quality and/or S/N ratio of the demodulated television signal has been improved. The adaptive bandpass filter has enough bandwidth when the signal level is sufficiently higher than the threshold level, but is narrow when the signal level is close to or lower than the threshold level. The bandwidth of the adaptive bandpass filter is adjusted according to the total power of the input FM signal and C/N (the carrier signal to noise) ratio. The improvement of the threshold level is almost 2 dB.Type: GrantFiled: April 22, 1982Date of Patent: January 7, 1986Assignee: Oki Electric Industry Co., Ltd.Inventors: Tomozo Ohta, Yoshio Tsutsumi, Yoshihiro Konishi

Patent number: 4531148Abstract: The present invention relates to the improved demodulation system which improves the noise characteristics for the demodulation of a wideband television FM signal. A variable bandpass filter (8), the center frequency and the bandwidth of which are controllable, for improving C/N, is inserted at the output of a reference bandpass filter (7) in an FM signal path. The bandwidth of the variable bandpass filter (8) is controlled so that said bandwidth is wide when the input carrier level is high, and said bandwidth is narrow when the input carrier level is low. The center frequency of the variable bandwidth filter (8) is controlled so that said center frequency follows to the instantaneous frequency of the color sub-carrier component (3.58 MHz). Said color sub-carrier component is derived by a narrow-band bandpass filter (10) coupled with the output of said discriminator (9) for controlling the center frequency of the variable bandpass filter (8).Type: GrantFiled: February 18, 1983Date of Patent: July 23, 1985Assignee: OKI Electric Industry Co., Ltd.Inventors: Tomozo Ohta, Yoshio Tsutsumi, Motoshi Sugano

Patent number: 4516469Abstract: An electric hydraulic control device for controlling hydraulic cylinders of work tools in a construction vehicle, in which control valves of the hydraulic cylinders are controlled in two ways. For some work tools which need not be controlled smoothly and finely, the corresponding control valves are controlled directly by an electric signal outputted according to the position of the operation levers, and for other work tools which must be controlled smoothly and finely, the corresponding control valves are controlled through an electric servo mechanism which is operated by an electric signal representative of the amount by which the operation lever is manipulated. In addition, there is provided a detector for detecting as to whether the transmission lever is in the locked condition, and electric systems of all of the control valves are rendered inoperative when the transmission lever is in the locked condition.Type: GrantFiled: May 25, 1982Date of Patent: May 14, 1985Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha Komatsu SeisakushoInventors: Yoshito Sato, Tokuhiro Yato, Hidemi Maeo, Yoshio Tsutsumi
