Abstract: A work management apparatus generates a temporary shift table in which scheduled work times of employees are temporarily set, based on an employee information file and work management file stored in a file memory. The work management apparatus sends the generated temporary shift table to a plurality of portable terminals over a network. When receiving, over the network, response information sent from the plurality of portable terminals in response to the sent temporary shift table, the work management apparatus generates a settled shift table in which scheduled work times of employees are settled, based on the received response information. The work management apparatus automatically sends the generated settled shift table to the plurality of portable terminals over the network.

Abstract: A server which connects to a plurality of clients via network, stores contents and a plurality of applications which are authoring tools for editing contents and have different operational conditions from one another in accordance with capacities of hardware and software. The server obtains information indicating capacities of hardware and software of each client and specifies any of the applications that can be operable with the hardware and software of each client. The server provides the specified application to each client. The server also provides contents to the clients in response to requests from the clients.

Abstract: A work management system has a work management apparatus and a plurality of user terminals connected by a network. The work management apparatus stores employee information on employees and work management information for setting work contents of the employees, generates working schedule information indicating working schedules of the employees based on the employee information and the work management information, and sends the generated employee and management information to the user terminals through the network. The user terminals receives and displays the working schedule information.
