  • Patent number: 6179279
Abstract: A gripper which is structurally simple and can reliably and quickly grip small articles of various different shapes. The gripper has a base including a fixed portion and a movable portion movable longitudinally toward and away from the fixed portion, a first gripper portion provided on the fixed portion, a second gripper portion provided on the movable portion, and a moving/fixing mechanism for gripping a small article of an indefinite shape by moving the second gripper portion toward the first gripper portion.

  • Patent number: 6099058
Abstract: A gripping device which can grip small articles of different shapes without the need to work its chucking surfaces or to use blocks and liners in combination, and which can position articles in parallel to or perpendicular to a reference surface with a single gripping device. A fixed yoke, a movable yoke and an anvil-side yoke are connected to two columns so that all the yokes can pivot relative to the columns and the movable yoke can further slide relative to the columns to form a parallel crank mechanism. The fixed yoke is provided with a threaded shaft for moving the movable yoke. V grooves are formed in opposed surfaces of the movable yoke and the anvil-side yoke. A plurality of cuts are formed at the portion where the V-grooves are formed in parallel to the columns. The cuts define plate members having V-grooved gripping portions meshing with each other.

  • Patent number: 4925510
Abstract: An aluminum part joint structure including at least two casted joint pieces to be assembled together, each of the pieces being formed with joint surfaces. Adhesive agent layer is provided between the joint surfaces. The adhesive agent comprises 45 to 54 wt % of epoxy resin, 30 to 40 wt % of aluminum particles each having diameter of 0.1 to 0.2 mm, and 4 to 6 wt % of guanidine derivative.

  • Patent number: 4875658
Abstract: An is an electromagnetic valve disposed in a fluid passage to open or close the passage. A solenoid and a guide member having a guide hole are disposed in the housing. A plunger is disposed between the solenoid and the guide member and responds to energization of the solenoid. A valve member, which is coupled to the plunger to open or close the fluid passage in accordance with an energization state of the solenoid, is slidably fitted in the guide hole of the guide member. The plunger is made of a magnetic material, while of the guide member and the valve member, at least the valve member is made of a non-magnetic material and has an outer surface thereof subjected to a nitriding process. This prevents adhesion of iron powder to the valve member, eliminates an adverse influence of the magnetic field of the solenoid, and further improves the corrosion resistance and wear resistance thus ensuring smooth actuation of the valve member.

  • Patent number: 4803962
Abstract: Conventional intake passage apparatuses used in internal combustion engines, which have closed cross sections perpendicular to air current direction, have had to be manufactured by casting using cores. An intake passage apparatus according to the present invention comprises two divisions having their joint surfaces extending in the air current direction and bonded to each other by means of an adhesive agent. Also, the divisions are fixed by mechanical clamping. Thus, no closed cross sections are present in the divisions, so that the molding work is easier.
