  • Patent number: 8978512
Abstract: An operating pedal includes a joining portion at which a first member and a second member whose thickness is smaller than a thickness of the first member are overlapped with each other, and welded to each other along an end edge of the second member, a step portion being provided in the first member along the end edge of the second member by recessing a protruding portion that outwardly protrudes from the end edge so that the protruding portion is drawn back from the second member; and the first member and the second member being welded to each other at a portion extending from the end edge of the second member to the step portion of the first member.

  • Patent number: 8931367
Abstract: A connecting opening portion is provided at the portion that is an outer circumferential portion of a hollow-structured operating pedal and is connected to connecting links inside the connecting opening portion, a reinforcing member having a U-shaped section is integrally weld-joined so as to open outward. End portions of the connecting links are inserted inside the reinforcing member, and are relatively pivotablly connected by a first link pin. Accordingly, the rigidity of the operating pedal is improved, and at the same time, the stress concentration is relieved, whereby buckling and deformation are suppressed. As a result, the plate thickness of the hollow-structured operating pedal can be kept small to minimize the weight thereof, and also, the width dimension of the operating pedal in the vehicle fore and aft direction can be reduced to achieve a compact size.

  • Patent number: 8567283
Abstract: A vehicle operating pedal device includes an operating pedal having a hollow structure; a reaction force member; a pivotal connecting portion; and a reinforcement member having a form of a flat plate and disposed between paired side walls. Paired through-holes are formed in the paired side walls which have forms of flat plates and are located on both sides in a vehicle width direction, parallel to each other and substantially perpendicular to the support shaft axis, at positions on a straight line that is substantially parallel to the support shaft axis, in the pivotal connecting portion. A pin insertion hole is formed in the reinforcement member at a position corresponding to the paired through-holes, a connecting pin is inserted through the pin insertion hole, and the reinforcement member is integrally fixed to the paired side walls at a portion on an outer peripheral side of the pin insertion hole.

  • Patent number: 8393245
Abstract: A vehicle operation pedal includes: a pedal arm disposed on a pedal support so as to be pivotable about a support axis, the pedal support being fixed to a vehicle; and a pedal sheet to be depressed by a driver, the pedal sheet being integrally fixed to a lower end portion of the pedal arm so as to extend from the pedal arm on both sides in a vehicle width direction, a pair of sheet attachment portions being integrally provided at the lower end portion of the pedal arm by bending the pedal arm so as to be enlarged apart from each other on both sides in the vehicle width direction, the pair of sheet attachment portions extending along the pedal sheet, and the pedal sheet being integrally fixed to the sheet attachment portions at two positions that are laterally spaced apart from each other in such a manner that a center of the pedal in the vehicle width direction sheet is located between the two positions.

  • Publication number: 20100180717
Abstract: The rigidity of a pivotally connecting portion to which a reaction force member or a transmitting member is connected through a connecting pin is increased to thereby prevent buckling and deformation, while keeping the plate thickness of a hollow-structured operating pedal small to minimize the weight and size thereof. A connecting opening portion is provided at the portion that is an outer circumferential portion of a hollow-structured operating pedal and is connected to connecting links Inside the connecting opening portion, a reinforcing member having a U-shaped section is integrally weld-joined so as to open outward. End portions of the connecting links are inserted inside the reinforcing member, and are relatively pivotablly connected by a first link pin. • Patent number: 7690279
Abstract: A vehicle-pedal backward-displacement preventing device including: (a) a pedal bracket supporting an operating pedal having a depressible portion; (b) upper and lower attachments fixed to the pedal bracket, such that the pedal bracket is attached to a dash panel through the attachments; and (c) a guide member fixed to the pedal bracket or a vehicle body member and is operable to restrain, in event of backward movement of the pedal bracket together with the dash panel toward a driver's seat, the depressible portion of the operating pedal from being backwardly displaced toward the driver's seat, by causing a distal end portion of the pedal bracket to be downwardly displaced.
