Patent number: 10297842Abstract: A fuel cell stack includes a stacked body, a first insulator and a second insulator. The stacked body includes power generation cells. The power generation cells are stacked in a stacking direction. The power generation cells include a first end power generation cell a second end power generation cell. Each of the power generation cells includes a membrane electrode assembly, a cathode separator and an anode separator. The first end power generation cell has an outermost cathode separator. The second end power generation cell has an outermost anode separator. The first insulator has a first recess in which a first heat-insulating body and a first terminal plate are accommodated. The second insulator has a second recess in which a second heat-insulating body and a second terminal plate are accommodated. A first number of first stacked heat-insulating layers is larger than a second number of second stacked heat-insulating layers.Type: GrantFiled: October 13, 2016Date of Patent: May 21, 2019Assignee: HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventors: Tadashi Nishiyama, Kenji Nagumo, Ryo Jinba, Yoshiro Ichikawa, Yuta Ikeda

Publication number: 20120295176Abstract: A cell unit of a fuel cell includes a first membrane electrode assembly, a first metal separator, a second membrane electrode assembly, and a second metal separator. Resin frame members are provided at outer ends the first and second membrane electrode assemblies. A dual seal provided on the resin frame member includes an outer seal member and an inner seal member. A front end of the outer seal member contacts the resin frame member, and a front end of the inner seal member contacts the outer end of the first metal separator. The outer seal member and the outer seal member have the same height.Type: ApplicationFiled: May 16, 2012Publication date: November 22, 2012Applicant: HONDA MOTOR CO., LTD.Inventors: Narutoshi SUGITA, Tetsuya NAKAMURA, Daisuke OKONOGI, Keisuke ANDO, Yoshiro ICHIKAWA, Kentaro ISHIDA

Patent number: 4553501Abstract: An apparatus for selectively plating on an elongated metal strip, at intervals of a predetermined length in the lengthwise direction, while the strip is being fed in the lengthwise direction. The apparatus includes: strip feeder which discharges the strip from a reel in a direction in which the strip is fed and a sensor for detecting the amount of slack in the strip. A pre-treating station treats the strip, before being plated, while it is continuously fed. A plating station intermittently feeds the strip and selectively plates it, while the strip is stopped during its intermittent movement. An after-treating station treats the strip by again continuously feeding the strip and a strip take-up section winds the strip onto a reel after it has been treated. Tension mechanisms are disposed between the continuous feeding station and the intermittent feeding station to impart a predetermined tensile force to the strip.Type: GrantFiled: March 14, 1984Date of Patent: November 19, 1985Assignee: Shinko Electric Industries Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hiroshi Kobayashi, Shinichi Muramatsu, Yoshiro Ichikawa, Seizo Mitsui
