  • Patent number: 4660461
Abstract: First and second outlets direct conditioned air into a vehicular passenger compartment. When one of the outlets is blocked, the other outlet is unblocked. A control arrangement ensures that the temperature of the output air is the same regardless of which outlet is unblocked. This is achieved by adjusting the position of an air mix door, which determines the extent to which air is heated before being delivered as conditioned air, in accordance with which outlet is unblocked.
