  • Patent number: 11879833
Abstract: A circular dichroism measurement device includes: a sample part having a sample; a PEM that modulates a polarization state of an incoming light to the sample part or an outgoing light from the sample part; a photo detector that detects a change in a light intensity of the outgoing light from the sample part; an amplifier that amplifies a detection signal from the photo detector; an A/D converter that converts the detection signal amplified by the amplifier to a digital signal; and a digital processing device that executes a signal processing to the digital signal from the A/D converter to acquire a measurement value of circular dichroism of the sample. The A/D converter is configured to convert the detection signal, that is amplified in a state of containing the AC component and the DC component of the light intensity that changes with the same frequency as the modulation frequency of PEM.

  • Publication number: 20220155220
Abstract: Based on an HT voltage value of each data point applied to a light detector and a plurality of reference spectra measured, in measurement of a reference substance performed for a plurality of times, a weighting function deriver of a spectrum measuring device derives a relation between the HT voltage value (HTi) and a degree of dispersion ?i of a plurality of spectral values as a weighting function (?=f(HT)). Moreover, a numerical evaluator of the spectrum measuring device is configured to calculate a degree of individual coincidence between a sample spectrum and the reference spectrum, acquire the degree of dispersion ?i by applying the HT voltage value at measuring the sample spectrum to the weighting function as a weighting value, and evaluate the difference between the reference spectrum and the sample spectrum based on the degree of individual coincidence to which the weighting value is applied.

  • Patent number: 10564035
Abstract: The present invention relates to improvement in accuracy in a device and a method for determining whether a spectrum of a target sample coincide with a standard spectrum or not. A spectrum determination device 10 determines whether a sample spectrum coincides with a reference spectrum or not by the reference spectrum obtained from a spectrum group. The spectrum determination device 10 comprises a storage unit 26 for storing the reference spectrum, and a determination unit 28 for comparing the reference spectrum and the sample spectrum to determine a sample 20 from the comparison result. The reference spectrum is set with a differing weighting for each point. The determination unit 28 calculates an individual coincidence with the sample spectrum for each point of the reference spectrum, and calculates a coincidence of the sample spectrum with the reference spectrum by the individual coincidence and the differing weighting to determine the sample 20.

  • Publication number: 20130293887
Abstract: A solution sample holding method between two light-transmitting plate-like members for measuring light passing through a minute amount of solution sample, comprises a dripping step and a covering step. The dripping step is to drip a minute amount of solution sample in a drip area of a sample mounting face of a first light-transmitting member. The sample mounting face also includes a liquid-repellent area surrounding the drip area. The covering step is to cover the solution sample with a second light-transmitting member and to maintain a predetermined distance between the first light-transmitting member and the second light-transmitting member. The liquid-repellent area of the sample mounting face is covered with a liquid-repellent substance. The minute amount of solution sample is held in contact with the two light-transmitting members.

  • Publication number: 20110292387
Abstract: A simple method and apparatus for circular dichroism spectrophotometry are provided that allow a liquid, cream-type, and gel-type specimens having a low degree of transparency to be measured directly and nondestructively without passing light through the specimens. Right-handed or left-handed circularly polarized light enters a prism from an entrance face and hits a specimen mounting face of the prism, on which a specimen is placed, at an angle of 80°. Then, after being totally reflected by the specimen mounting face and going out from an exit face, the light is detected, and the absorbance is determined.
