Abstract: A fishing rod has a seat base including a fixed hood formed integral therewith for engaging a forward leg of a fishing reel, and a movable hood mounted in the seat base to be movable axially thereof for engaging a rearward leg of the fishing reel. The seat base defines an opening edge of a space for accommodating the movable hood. This opening edge is inclined, in side view, with respect to an axis of the fishing rod. A rotatable adjusting element is mounted on the seat base for adjusting position of the movable hood axially of the fishing rod. A slide contact element is disposed at an end of the rotatable adjusting element remote from the movable hood for limiting movement of the rotatable adjusting element axially of the fishing rod 2. A fishing rod as claimed in claim 1, wherein said seat base includes a rotatable adjusting element relatively rotatably mounted thereon for adjusting position of said movable hood axially of the fishing rod.

Abstract: An improved fishing rod with a reel holding portion having a front hood and rear hood for engaging a pole mount of a reel. The fishing rod comprises a forming portion for the front hood and a forming portion for the rear hood. These forming portions have larger diameters than a rod material and are provided independently from each other. The fishing rod further comprises an entirely exposed intermediate portion defined at a middle portion between the forming portions and having a smaller diameter than both of the forming portions.

Abstract: A fishing rod includes a fixed hood formed on a rod body, a movable hood having an inner threaded portion engageable with a threaded portion of the rod body. The fixed hood and the movable hood together form a reel seat for supporting opposed ends of a foot of a reel. At an inner peripheral face of the movable hood where the one longitudinal end of the reel foot is engaged, there is formed a threaded guide groove having a pitch corresponding to a pitch of the inner threaded portion. And, a contact face is also defined in the inner peripheral face of the movable hood facing the fixed hood. The contact face comes into contact with a terminal edge of the reel foot in a direction substantially normal to an axis of the inner threaded portion.

Abstract: A fishing rod includes an outer rod section, and an inner rod section inserted into the outer rod section for telescopic movement. The inner rod section is retainable in an extended position and a compressed position relative to the outer rod section. The inner rod section includes a tapered portion extending from an intermediate position to a tip end thereof and tapering toward the tip end, and a straight portion extending from the intermediate position to a rear end. Further, the inner rod section defines an inside wall becoming progressively thicker from the intermediate position to the rear end. The inner rod section is manufactured by using a mandrel having a tapered outer surface tapering from an intermediate position to a forward end, and a straight outer surface from the intermediate position to a rear end thereof.

Abstract: A fixture for a fishing reel is provided which includes a tubular fixture body having a screw thread, a fixing holder, a movable pusher movable toward or away from the fixing holder, and a threaded ring for operating the movable pusher. A plurality of locking grooves extending lengthwise of the fixture body are provided at the screw thread of the fixture body. These locking grooves are spaced at predetermined intervals circumferentially of the fixture body. An engaging projection engageable with one of the locking grooves to restrain the threaded ring from loosening is provided at the threaded ring such that it can be changed in position between engaged and disengaged positions with one of the locking grooves.

Abstract: A fishing rod comprising a hollow rod body and a grip coupling with the bottom rod at the rod body, the grip being provided with a short first grip portion and a long second grip portion, and with an insertion control positioned between the first and second grip portions and setting the insertion position into the rod body, so that the grip is turned over to be inserted into the rod body to be changed in length, thereby making the fishing rod adjustable of its entire length.

Abstract: A fishing line guide comprising a guide body having holding bores and line guide rings having guide bores and mounted to the holding bores, wherein the axis of each holding bore is slanted longitudinally with respect to the axis of a fishing rod, and the inner surface of each guide bore is formed in a quarter circle in section, so that each line guide ring is mounted to the holding bore in the relation that the arcuate inner surface of the guide bore orients slantwise outwardly of the holding bore.

Abstract: A fishing rod is provided which includes a rod body, a reel mounting device mounted at a root portion of the rod body at one radial side thereof, and a flexible grip disposed between reel mounting device and a rod-up portion of the rod. The grip includes surface formed of a harder material than the rest of the grip and having a predetermined width. The finger bearing surface is provided at a surface of the grip positioned at the one radical side of the rod body at which the reel mounting device is mounted.

Abstract: A reel fixture is provided which includes a base cylinder, a fixed holder fixed to the base cylinder, a movable pusher movably supported to the base cylinder, and an annular ring. The base cylinder is formed of a material including a prepreg of carbon fiber impregnated with synthetic resin and a thin scrim sheet of high strength fiber impregnated with synthetic resin. The prepreg is lined at its rear surface with the scrim sheet. The material forming the base cylinder is cylindrically wound a plurality of times such that the carbon fiber is circumferentially oriented. The base cylinder is provided at the outer periphery of one of its axial ends with a screw thread screwable with a threaded ring.

Abstract: A fishing rod is provided which includes a reel fixture, a plurality of fishing line guides and a top guide. The fishing line guides each comprise a larger diameter line guide ring through which a rod body is inserted and a mounting piece extending lengthwise of the rod body from one circumferential side of the line guide ring. The mounting piece is fixed to the rod body at an intermediate position thereof between the reel fixture mounting position and a position on the rod body radially opposite to the reel fixture mounting position.
