Publication number: 20020156466Abstract: A surgical system is capable of easily selecting one of treating tools used in surgical treatment by operating a push button switch provided on a remote controller disposed near a corresponding treating tool. When a remote controller is operated, an ID signal uniquely assigned to the remote controller is transmitted using a radio wave to a foot switch controller. An ID discriminator discriminates the ID transmitted from the remote controller thereby determining which remote controller has been selected. A selection acknowledgement signal is returned to the operated remote controller. In response, an LED disposed on the operated remote controller is lit so that a human operator can easily recognize that the remote controller has been selected.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 16, 2002Publication date: October 24, 2002Applicant: OLYMPUS OPTICAL CO., LTD.Inventors: Tomohisa Sakurai, Yoshitaka Honda, Kazue Tanaka

Patent number: 6462782Abstract: In a data extraction circuit used for reproducing character data such as a closed caption and a text, a horizontal sync digital PLL circuit generates an fh sync system clock signal, which is synchronized with a horizontal sync signal fh, in response to a digital video signal from an ADC. Based on the fh sync system clock signal, a clock generation circuit generates a data extracting clock signal which is synchronized with the horizontal sync signal fh. The data extracting clock signal can thus be caused to follow horizontal jitters. Consequently, character data can be reproduced with stability, irrespective of variations in frequency.Type: GrantFiled: December 21, 1999Date of Patent: October 8, 2002Assignee: Kabushiki Kaisha ToshibaInventors: Yoshitaka Honda, Shigeru Inada

Publication number: 20010039389Abstract: An ultrasonic driving apparatus consists mainly of a digital oscillatory circuit, an amplifier, a detection circuit, a phase difference detection circuit, a register, a data transfer circuit, and a switching circuit. The digital oscillatory circuit is used to drive an ultrasonic transducer at the resonance frequency of the ultrasonic transducer. The amplifier amplifies a driving signal output from the digital oscillatory circuit. The detection circuit detects the phase &thgr;v of an applied voltage and the phase &thgr;i of an induced current from the driving signal applied to the ultrasonic transducer via the amplifier. The phase difference detection circuit detects a difference between the phases &thgr;v and &thgr;i. The register holds digital frequency data with which a frequency at which the digital oscillatory circuit is oscillated is determined, and changes the digital frequency data. The data transfer circuit transfers the digital frequency data to the register.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 31, 2001Publication date: November 8, 2001Applicant: OLYMPUS OPTICAL CO., LTD.Inventors: Tomohisa Sakurai, Yoshitaka Honda, Kazue Tanaka, Hiroo Ono, Hiroyuki Takahashi

Patent number: 6202162Abstract: A data-processing system consisting of a portable terminal device and a copying machine can effectively work with protection against breakage of data stored in the terminal device. The data-processing system is constructed to work on the following principle: When a given period is measured by a timer for starting the power saving mode, a portable terminal device provides a copying machine with a signal informing of starting the power-saving mode. The copying machine, which received the power-saving-mode starting signal, provides in later the portable terminal device a signal requiring the terminal to cancel the power-saving-mode. When a given period is measured by a timer for starting the power saving mode, the copying machine provides the portable terminal device with a signal requiring the terminal device to start the power-saving mode. A CPU, which received information on request of power-saving-mode, executes the power saving mode.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 1998Date of Patent: March 13, 2001Assignee: Sharp Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Koji Katamoto, Hideo Matsuda, Yoshitaka Honda, Tamotsu Fukushima, Hiranaga Yamamoto, Syoichiro Yoshiura, Kenichi Gomi

Patent number: 6066135Abstract: An ultrasonic operating apparatus includes an ultrasonic vibrator, an oscillation circuit and a power amplifier which serve as a driving energy supply portion for supplying a driving energy for driving the ultrasonic vibrator. A current detector detects a driving energy supplied to the ultrasonic vibrator. A determining device determines whether or not the ultrasonic vibrator is driven normally depending on whether or not the current component of the driving energy detected by the current detector is in a predetermined range. If it is determined that the ultrasonic vibrator is not driven normally, a stop device stops a supply of the driving energy to the ultrasonic vibrator.Type: GrantFiled: September 22, 1998Date of Patent: May 23, 2000Assignee: Olympus Optical Co., Ltd.Inventor: Yoshitaka Honda
