Patent number: 6293870Abstract: A damper disc assembly having multiple embodiments. In one embodiment, spring seats are arranged at opposite ends of coil springs disposed between a power input rotary member and a power output rotary member. Each spring seat has a contacting surface with mutually perpendicular slanting portions. In another embodiment, a modified spring seat determines a phase or orientation of the power input rotary member with respect to the power output rotary member. In a third embodiment, a friction element is formed of resin and includes a friction adjusting element. The body portion of the friction element is made of resin and includes a friction generating surface that contacts a side surface of the sub-plate. The fiction adjusting element is provided in the friction generating surface of the body portion by molding and modifies the friction coefficient thereof. In a fourth embodiment, the friction element has a coating applied to a friction surface which modifies the friction coefficient.Type: GrantFiled: June 8, 1999Date of Patent: September 25, 2001Assignee: Exedy CorporationInventors: Tamio Nagano, Saburo Nakanishi, Yoshitaka Kitamura, Hideyuki Imanaka, Hiroshi Uehara

Patent number: 6210280Abstract: A pair of spring seats (32) are used at opposite ends of a small coil spring (6) disposed between a power input rotary member and a power output rotary member. Each spring seat (32) includes a receiving side surface for receiving the spring and a contacting surface (36). Each contacting surface (36) is formed with four slanting surfaces that slant inward toward a central portion of the contacting surface. The intersections of the four slanting surfaces of each spring seat define two intersecting V-shaped grooves (37, 38). The power input rotary member and the power output rotary member contact respective portions of one of the V-shaped grooves (37, 38) of each spring seat. Engagement between the rotary members and the engaged V-shaped grooves restricts movement of the spring seats (32).Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 1999Date of Patent: April 3, 2001Assignee: Exedy CorporationInventors: Tamio Nagano, Saburo Nakanishi, Yoshitaka Kitamura, Hideyuki Imanaka, Hiroshi Uehara

Patent number: 4719645Abstract: A rotary anode assembly for an X-ray source, having a annular V-groove target portion for generating a desired characteristic X-ray emission by an electron beam bombardment applied thereto, wherein the V-grooved target portion is formed from a pair of target members each being formed into a body of rotation with respect to the axis of rotation of the assembly and having a surface including therein a coaxially-formed annular tapered portion. The target members are combined together so that the annular tapered surface portions face to each other with a predetermined angle therebetween, thereby constituting the annular V-groove. The annular V-groove target portion is formed in the peripheral surface of the rotary anode assembly or in the side surface of the anode assembly, which is perpendicular to the axis of rotation.Type: GrantFiled: August 11, 1986Date of Patent: January 12, 1988Assignee: Fujitsu LimitedInventors: Masaki Yamabe, Yoshitaka Kitamura, Yasuo Furukawa, Toshihiko Osada

Patent number: 4603754Abstract: A drive system for an engine-driven light vehicle which transmits the engine rotation to a wheel of the vehicle through a friction roller during normal engine operation, and transmits the wheel rotation to the engine through the friction roller to start the engine. The friction roller has its drive shaft disposed parallel with the crankshaft of the engine, between which shafts is interposed a power transmission means, e.g. a gear train meshing with each other. At least one gear of the gear train is rotatably fitted on the crankshaft, with which engages a one-way clutch for transmitting the drive shaft rotation to the crankshaft with a ratio of speed change preset for the start of the engine. A planetary gear is coupled to the gear train for transmitting the crankshaft rotation to the drive shaft through the gear train with a large reduction ratio.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 1984Date of Patent: August 5, 1986Assignee: Honda Giken Kogyo Kabushiki KaishaInventors: Takushi Matsutoh, Goroei Wakatsuki, Yoshitaka Kitamura, Takeo Ishihara
