  • Patent number: 4739011
Abstract: A thermoplastic resin composition obtainable by blending 100 parts by weight of a mixture consisting of(A) 75 to 40% by weight of a propylene polymer,(B) 20 to 40% by weight of an ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymer, and(C) 5 to 30% by weight of a graft copolymer obtained by copolymerizing an aromatic vinyl compound and a polar vinyl compound in the presence of an ethylene-alpha-olefin copolymerwith(D) 0.1 to 5 parts by weight of an unsaturated dicarboxylic acid, an anhydride thereof or a mixture of the two, and(E) 0.01 to 0.3 part by weight of an organic radical-generating agent, and then subjecting the resulting blend to thermal treatment. Said composition has not only a high bending modulus inherently possessed by polypropylene resins but also remarkably improved coating property. Accordingly, the composition is useful as interior and exterior trim parts of automobiles and exterior trim parts of motorcycles.

  • Patent number: 4506061
Abstract: A process for producing an olefin copolymer rubber containing 25 to 75% by weight of propylene, which comprises polymerizing ethylene and propylene, or ethylene, propylene and at least one nonconjugated diene, in solution in the presence of a catalyst, said catalyst being composed of (A) a Ti-containing solid component precipitated from a liquid product obtained by reacting a titanium tetrahalide with an organomagnesium compound in a halogenated hydrocarbon solvent in the presence of an ether represented by the general formula R.sup.1 OR.sup.2 wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are identical or different and each represents a hydrocarbon group having 2 to 12 carbon atoms, and (B) an organoaluminum compound.

  • Patent number: 4431543
Abstract: Phosphorus, nitrogen and BOD are removed from organic waste liquid containing the same by mixing the organic waste liquid with activated sludge which is substantially free of oxygen, nitric acid and nitrous acid and subjecting the mixture to the action of the activated sludge under anaerobic conditions which forms a mixture of a liquid rich in soluble phosphorus and an activated sludge low in phosphorus. The sludge and liquid are separated. A portion of the liquid is subjected to solid-liquid separation to form a liquid high in phosphorus and a sludge low in phosphorus. This latter sludge is, along with the other portion of the liquid and the sludge from which the liquid has been initially separated are mixed with oxygen, in the presence of nitric acid or nitrous acid and subjected to aerobic biological oxidation. This results in the formation of a liquid low in phosphorus and an activated sludge.
