  • Patent number: 11958921
Abstract: To provide a disposable diaper enabling reduction in re-wet amount and having an excellent speed of incorporating liquid regardless of concentration and configuration of a water-absorbing agent in an absorbent material. A water-absorbing agent having excellent Gel Capillary Absorption (GCA) and Free Gel Bed Permeability (FGBP) is obtained by crushing a crosslinked hydrogel polymer obtained in a polymerization step to have a specific weight average particle diameter while fluid retention capacity and a surface tension of a water-absorbing agent are adjusted in a specific range, drying the crushed crosslinked hydrogel polymer, and then adding a liquid permeability enhancer thereto during surface crosslinking or after surface crosslinking.

  • Patent number: 11062458
Abstract: An extraction section extracts, from each of a plurality of non-defective product images which show the appearance of the inspection target determined to be a non-defective product, the non-defective vector representing a feature of each non-defective product image. A generation section generates a transformation matrix by using a plurality of non-defective product vectors extracted by the extraction section. The transformation matrix is a matrix representing sequentially performing first mapping for mapping the feature vector to a feature space and second mapping for mapping a result of the first mapping to the whole space to which the feature vector belongs. An adjusting section adjusts each element of the transformation matrix generated by the generation section by using, as learning data, the feature vector extracted from a pseudo defect image.

  • Patent number: 7769008
Abstract: A packet routing arrangement, when receiving a request to join or leave a multicast group from a host unregistered to that group, a response is sent exclusively to the unregistered host. In the packet routing arrangement, when receiving a request packet from a host to join or leave a group, including the identifier of the group, it is determined whether the source host of the packet is registered to that group; and, if it is not registered, the first group identifier is changed to a second group identifier assigned to another delivery server delivering information to the other unregistered host and the packet is transferred to this other delivery server. When receiving a packet containing certain information from this delivery server, the second group identifier included in the received packet is changed to the first group identifier and the packet is transmitted to the unregistered host.

  • Patent number: 7532624
Abstract: When multicast distribution is performed on a network where a point-to-point connection is made between user terminals and a multicast router, the multicast router is protected from load due to response reports, join requests, or leave statements sent from the user terminals simultaneously. If the user terminals send response reports simultaneously, a Layer 2 switch disposed between the user terminals and the multicast router limits response reports sent to the multicast router. The Layer 2 switch prevents response reports sent from the same user terminal from being discarded consecutively, by sending a response report sent from the same user terminal to the multicast router 200 with priority in the next join confirmation event. If the user terminals send join requests or leave statements simultaneously, the Layer 2 switch limits the join requests or leave statements sent to the multicast router 200 in the same manner.

  • Patent number: 7463295
Abstract: The present invention includes a film or video image pickup signal recording/reproduction system having an image pickup apparatus outputting an image pickup signal, a recording apparatus recording the image pickup signal, a reproduction apparatus reproducing the recorded signal, a characteristic conversion apparatus switching the characteristic of the reproduced signal, and a display apparatus displaying the signal output from the characteristic conversion apparatus. The image pickup apparatus has two kinds of gamma curve characteristics. The gamma curve characteristic data is recorded by the recording apparatus and extracted by the reproduction apparatus. The gamma curve characteristic of a reproduction image is switched by the characteristic conversion apparatus depending on the data. The image is output on a display apparatus.

  • Patent number: 7430205
Abstract: A packet transfer apparatus which can switch a communication path for each of a plurality of users using the same L2TP tunnel is provided. Packet transfer apparatuses terminating L2TP contain a table specifying a flow threshold level and a priority level of each subscriber; the amount of packet flow of each subscriber is measured in accordance with the information in the table; if the threshold level is exceeded, the packet communication path is switched in accordance with the priority level specified for each subscriber. The OSPF protocol is used to manage the path information, and the information of a plurality of paths to a destination is stored in a path management table. The path is switched by specifying destination routers with the source routing option in the IP header of a packet after L2TP encapsulation.

  • Patent number: 7341864
Abstract: A molecule introducing apparatus is provided with a power supply circuit 20 for supplying power, a step-up transformer 30 which is supplied with power from the power supply circuit 20 and which outputs a high voltage, a switching transistor 22 that blocks off and allows the supply of power from the power supply circuit 20 to the step-up transformer 30 and which generates an instantaneous high voltage, and a pair of electrode probes 50 for applying the instantaneous high voltage generated at the step-up transformer 30 to a predetermined region in a body. The molecule introducing apparatus oscillates DNA arranged outside a cell by the instantaneous high voltage so as to introduce the DNA into the cell.

  • Publication number: 20060023733
Abstract: Upon receiving a connection request from a terminal, a packet transfer apparatus registers information on the terminal with a memory and forwards information necessary for the authentication of the terminal and an authentication request to an authentication server. The apparatus then receives authentication permission and a multicast group address list associated with the terminal that has made the connection request from the server. The apparatus then associates the multicast group address list received with the terminal information stored in the memory for registration. Upon receiving a participation request from the terminal, the apparatus determines whether or not the group address contained in the participation request is present in the list in the memory. If the group address is present in the list in the memory, the apparatus permits the delivery of a packet to the terminal from a content delivery server and transmits the packet to the terminal.
