  • Patent number: 11554687
Abstract: Power supply system mounted in electric vehicle includes voltage measurement unit that measures a voltage of each of a plurality of cells to ensure both safety of an electric vehicle and convenience of a user. Current measurement unit therein measures a current flowing through the plurality of cells. Temperature measurement unit therein measures a temperature of the plurality of cells. Controller therein determines a current limit value defining an upper limit of a current for suppressing cell deterioration and ensuring safety based on the voltage, the current, and the temperature of each of the plurality of cells measured by voltage measurement unit, current measurement unit, and temperature measurement unit respectively, and that notifies a higher-level controller in electric vehicle of the determined current limit value.

  • Patent number: 11351887
Abstract: Provided is a management device that manages a power storage module configured by connecting in series a plurality of parallel cell groups in which a plurality of cells are connected in parallel. In the management device, a voltage detection circuit detects a voltage of each of the plurality of parallel cell groups connected in series. A plurality of equalizing circuits are connected in parallel to the plurality of parallel cell groups, respectively. A controlling circuit controls the plurality of equalizing circuits based on the voltage detected by the voltage detection circuit and executes an equalizing process. The controlling circuit determines whether or not an abnormal cell is included in each of the parallel cell groups based on a voltage change of each of the parallel cell groups during discharging to the equalizing circuit or charging from the equalizing circuit.

  • Publication number: 20220134886
Abstract: Controller performs a plurality of pieces of abnormality diagnosing processing in a vehicle. The plurality of pieces of abnormality diagnosing processing includes a first-type abnormality diagnosing processing of detecting the abnormality that occurs due to a plurality of types of causes and a second-type abnormality diagnosing processing of detecting the abnormality that occurs due to one type of the cause. When the abnormality is detected by the first-type abnormality diagnosing processing, controller specifies the cause of the abnormality detected by the first-type abnormality diagnosing processing based on a diagnosis result of the second-type abnormality diagnosing processing.
