  • Patent number: 7201851
Abstract: An etching processing apparatus 1 has a transfer chamber 2, a plurality of processing chambers 3 and 4, and a plurality of cassette chambers 7 and 8. Inside the transfer chamber 2, a transfer mechanism 14 is provided. A control device 17 pauses the operation of the vacuum pump 16 after closing an opening/closing valve 15 of a vacuum evacuating mechanism, which vacuum evacuates the transfer chamber 2 in which the transfer mechanism 14 is provided, when the operation of the transfer mechanism 14 is paused for a predetermined time or longer. Accordingly, conservation of energy becomes possible without causing decrease of productivity.

  • Publication number: 20060227254
Abstract: A discharge lamp lighting apparatus includes a transformer unit, a casing for housing the transformer unit, and a circuit board including circuit components. In the casing, the circuit board is joined to the casing and the transformer unit is fixed to the circuit board through a heat conductive member having thermal conductivity of more than 0.1 W/(m·k). Heat produced by the transformer unit is transferred to the casing through the heat conductive member and released through the casing effectively. In the lighting apparatus, therefore, while the transformer unit is arranged relatively close to the circuit components, the heat can be prevented from affecting the circuit components.

  • Publication number: 20060206675
Abstract: The storage system of the present invention reflects the intentions of the host device in data migration carried out by a storage device. The host manager registers the host-side data migration policy in advance in the operation management server. When the storage device initiates the data migration, the management server compares the storage-side data migration policy and the host-side data migration policy, and when the polices match, the storage device is permitted to carry out the data migration. When the policies do not match, the management server prohibits the storage device from carrying out the data migration. The management server counts the number of times that the policies do not match, and generates and sends a report to the managers in order to draw the attention of the host manager and the storage manager.

  • Patent number: 7104664
Abstract: The apparatus for automatically adjusting a direction of a light axis of a vehicle headlight of the invention has a configuration in which the swivel control unit determines that the vehicle is making a left or right turn and halts the swivel control on the light axis of a vehicle headlight, if the vehicle speed detected by the vehicle speed sensor is equal to or lower than a predetermined threshold speed and at least one of the conditions that the turn indication signal is in the on state, and that the steering angle is outside a predetermined angular range is satisfied. The swivel control unit resumes the swivel control when the turn indication signal is changed into the off state.

  • Publication number: 20060097643
Abstract: In a discharge lamp apparatus for lighting a discharge lamp, a ballast is disposed outside of a lamp housing of a discharge lamp and is electrically connected to the discharge lamp through a connector. A ballast housing of the ballast is connected to a bottom wall of the lamp housing. In the ballast housing, a ballast circuit board is arranged along a top wall of the ballast housing that is opposed to the lamp housing. Accordingly, it is less likely that the ballast circuit board will be wetted by condensation or water vapor entered the ballast housing. Additionally, a partition wall can be provided in the ballast housing between the connector and the ballast circuit board to block the condensation or water vapor from flowing toward the ballast circuit board.

  • Publication number: 20060006789
Abstract: A fluorescent display tube is provided, which employs a non-evaporation type getter, instead of the evaporation-type Ba getter, whereby the serviceable life of the fluorescent substance containing SrTiO3 as a base component is prolonged. At least one or more elements selected from the group consisting of Zr, V, Fe, Ti, Ma, Mn, and La are used for the getter for fluorescent display tubes, each which employs a fluorescent substance containing SrTiO3 as a base component. This feature allows carbon series residual gases remaining in the tube to be removed, so that the serviceable operation can be prolonged.

  • Patent number: 6970989
Abstract: A volume control system in a storage area network environment, which is capable of executing volume operation requests in multiple stages, and is also capable of canceling an erroneous volume operation even after the operation has been executed by the user. A volume operation request for executing run commands from the user is analyzed, and parameters for executing the volume operation request are created by a program that operates the storage apparatus. Each of the parameters is provided with an attribute indicating as to whether cancellation is possible or as to when the execution is to be performed. If cancellation of the run command is possible, a parameter for canceling the run command is created simultaneously. The run commands may be executed on the basis of the parameters after verifying by a simulation as to whether or not the various parameters created are correct. At this point, the user may select whether to execute the run commands promptly or in stages.
