    Abstract: An air pump comprises a diaphragm pump with a diaphragm connected to a vibrator driven by an electromagnet. The air pump has a main casing body divided into three chambers: an air pump chamber which houses the electromagnet, vibrator and diaphragm pump; a sucked air noise reduction chamber into which air is sucked from outside the casing as the volume of the diaphragm chamber of the diaphragm pump is expanded; and a discharged air noise reduction chamber through which air is discharged to the exterior of the casing as the volume of the diaphragm chamber is decreased. A first air passage connects the sucked air noise reduction chamber to an inlet opening of the diaphragm chamber and a second air passage connects an outlet opening of the diaphragm chamber to the discharged air noise reduction chamber.

    Abstract: The pilot type controlled electromagnetic valve system in accordance with the present invention is opened and closed principally by means of automatic remote control.The controlled valve system comprises a main valve F; a pilot valve G for opening and closing the main valve F by means of the fluid pressure on the primary side; a latching solenoid H for opening and closing the pilot valve G; and a solenoid drive control unit I for driving the solenoid H by supplying a discharge current from a capacitor to the solenoid. A pulse discharge current is supplied to the solenoid H from the capacitor C only when the pilot valve G is opened or closed, and no excitation current is supplied continuously through the coil of the solenoid. As a result, the power source battery can be reduced in size, and therefore virtually no accidents take place in the controlled valve system due to no heat generation in the coil.

A movable body housed in the plate stowage and movable in a direction parallel with the pipe channel has a plurality of orifice bins arranged in parallel with the pipe channel at a spacing. A device is provided for moving orifice plates one by one between the mount portion and the plate bins of the movable body through the opening.

    Abstract: A butterfly valve comprises a substantially cylindrical casing (20) having an annular valve seat (A) on its inner peripheral surface, and a valve disk (44) disposed within the casing (20) and rotatable about an axis (35). The valve disk (44) is formed at an outer peripheral edge portion with an annular groove (52) in which an annular valve seal (51) is partially fitted. The valve seal (51) is adapted for pressing contact with the valve seat (A) at a predetermined pressure and anchored in the annular groove (52) by resin (58) pressure-injected into the annular groove (52) through a resin injection channel (53) in communication with the groove. Accordingly, the seal pressure of the valve seal (51) on the valve seat (A) can be set to the predetermined value at all times even if the dimensions of the valve seat (A) and the valve disk (44) and the position of the axis of rotation (35) involve errors.

    Abstract: An automatic drain exhaust valve (1) for draining water and the like from a pressurized gas system includes a housing (1') defining an inlet orifice (5), an intermediary space (8), and an outlet orifice (6). Valve surfaces (30 and 40) respectively close the inlet and outlet orifices (5 and 6), said valve surfaces (30 and 40) being respectively moved to open positions by gas pressure from the pressurized gas system acting on surfaces of valve actuators such as pistons (3 and 4). One valve surface (30) is moved to a closed position by springs operating on the piston (3) while the other valve surface (40) is moved to a closed position by fluid pressure from the intermediary space (8) acting on a relatively large surface area (42) of the piston (4).
