Abstract: A method and an apparatus for color conversion capable of converting a particular color of an image original into another color as desired, in which indication is made as to what color of the image original colors other than that designated for the color conversion can be converted into, and, on the basis of this indication, designation for the color conversion in the image original colors other than that previously designated can be done, and, further, on the basis of this color conversion designation, a set of the color-separation filter and the developing color can be automatically selected.

Abstract: A copying apparatus capable of copying sheet originals and thick originals comprises sheet original transport means for transporting a sheet original, thick original carrier means for carrying thereon a thick original, optical means for projecting the image of an original upon a photosensitive member, copy process means for processing copies, and drive means for operating the copy process means. At least a part of the optical means is movable to selectively form an exposure surface at the position of the sheet original exposure surface of the sheet original transport means or the thick original exposure surface of the thick original carrier means.

Abstract: A fixing device comprises a pair of rollers for heating and pressing a copy medium carrying a toner image thereon, a control gear, a planet gear meshing with the control gear and revolvable about the control gear, means for revolving the planet gear, and means responsive to the revolutional movement of the planet gear to displace the pair of rollers between a first position in which they are in pressure contact with each other and a second position in which they are not in pressure contact with each other.

Abstract: In an electrostatic copying machine which includes a member for bearing a latent image and a developing device. The developing device includes a member for applying developer liquid to the image bearing member, a container for holding developer liquid, a pump in the container, a supply pipe from the container to the applying member, a return pipe from the applying member to the container, and a filter in the return pipe. The filter has an impinging portion angularly disposed with respect to the flow of developer liquid and disposed above the surface of the developer liquid in the container during pumping and a toner accumulating portion which is immersed in the developer liquid in the container at least when the pump is not operating to soften and dispense any coagulated toner particles accumulated thereon.

Abstract: A feed cassette for use with copying machines or the like comprises two separate inner plates for supporting thereon a stack of copy mediums. One of the two inner plates is pivotable and the other inner plate is pivotable and normally biased upwardly by spring means to raise the copy mediums at the leading end edge thereof. A side plate serves to position the copy mediums in accordance with the sizes thereof and is slidable with the other inner plate along a guide plate. A limit plate is provided for positioning the copy mediums in accordance with the sizes thereof and is slidable on the other inner plate along a guide plate.

Abstract: A copy medium carrier for use with a copying machine or the like comprises a first copy medium containing chamber for containing therein a first load of copy mediums, and a second copy medium containing chamber for containing therein a second load of copy mediums. The first copy medium containing chamber is selectively pivotable to feeding position. The second copy medium containing chamber is selectively movable to the feeding position. The feeding from said first and said second copy medium containing chamber may be effected from the same feeding position.

Abstract: In a copying machine, an original keep device comprises a mechanism which includes at least one expansible member and two or more support members, the mechanism having rotatable coupling points and at least one movable coupling portion, and an original keep member for holding down an original. The keep member is held by one of said support members of the mechanism. The original keep member may be held in open position above the original by the force of the expansible member.

Abstract: A copying apparatus capable of providing an image on both sides of a transfer material. The apparatus includes a pair of cassettes commonly usable as a feeding tray and a discharging tray, and a mechanism for detaching said cassettes. A transfer material fed from a cassette loaded in a feeding station has an image transferred thereto and fixed while passing through a required processing route, and said material is reversed onto an intermediary plate in a cassette loaded in the discharging tray station which is identical with the first mentioned cassette. The cassette which receives one side copied transfer materials when loaded in the discharging tray station is unloaded therefrom and loaded into the feeding station, and the reversed transfer material receives a second image in a manner similar to that described above.
