  • Publication number: 20090249827
Abstract: To provide a refrigeration apparatus and a heat exchanger used for the refrigeration apparatus capable of exhibiting the cooling capacity of the same level even if an alternate refrigerant is used without largely changing constituent parts of a refrigeration cycle. In the refrigeration apparatus according to the present invention, a ratio of the number of tubes of the supercooling section (17) to the total number of tubes (20) of the condensing section (16) and the supercooling section (17) is set such that cooling capacity obtained by an increased enthalpy difference with the same flow rate of refrigerant by the supercooling section (17) becomes equal to cooling capacity of a refrigeration cycle of the HFC134a refrigerant.

  • Publication number: 20060080977
Abstract: A variable capacitance compressor is provided in a refrigeration cycle of a vehicular air conditioning system. The variable capacitance compressor controls discharge capacity of refrigerant by an external control pulse signal, and can substantially estimate compressor suction side pressure by the external control pulse signal and compressor discharge side pressure. A compressor torque calculator is provided to calculate torque based on evaporator upstream and downstream temperature difference data ?t, which is a temperature difference between inlet side air temperature of an evaporator and outlet side air temperature of the evaporator, compressor discharge side pressure data Pd, duty ratio data of a control pulse signal, and compressor's number of revolution data.

  • Patent number: 6742355
Abstract: The invention relates to a receiver-drier for use in an air conditioning system. This receiver-drier has (a) a lower portion defining a lower chamber in the receiver-drier; (b) an upper portion defining an upper chamber in the receiver-drier; and (c) a strainer for removing foreign particles from the refrigerant. The lower portion has an inlet for allowing the refrigerant to flow into the lower chamber and an outlet for allowing the refrigerant to flow out of the lower chamber. Each of the inlet and the outlet is formed at a bottom of the lower portion. The upper chamber is on top of the lower chamber and is charged with a desiccant for removing moisture from the refrigerant. The strainer is disposed at a position in a flow of the refrigerant from the inlet to the outlet.

  • Patent number: 6604576
Abstract: An air conditioning system for a vehicle has a first cycle including a compressor, a first condenser, a second condenser, a liquid tank, an expansion valve and an evaporator which are connected through pipes to form a first refrigerant circulation circuit through which a refrigerant flows from an outlet of the compressor to an inlet of the compressor while changing the phase. The first cycle causes the evaporator to act as a cooler when operated. The system further has a second cycle including the compressor, the second condenser, the liquid tank, the evaporator and the evaporator which are connected through pipes to form a second refrigerant circulation circuit through which the refrigerant flows from the outlet of the compressor to the inlet of the compressor while changing the phase. The second cycle causes the condenser to act as a heater and the evaporator to act as a cooler when operated. The first and second cycles are switched by switch means.

  • Patent number: 6334322
Abstract: A refrigerating cycle has a condenser, an evaporator, a variable displacement compressor, and an expansion valve. The variable displacement compressor is connected between the condenser and the evaporator to form the refrigerating cycle, and includes a control valve designed to provide a control valve characteristic sloping downward with increase in a discharge pressure. The expansion valve is connected between the condenser and the evaporator, to return a refrigerant from the condenser through the evaporator to the variable displacement compressor, and designed to provide an open valve characteristic whose slope is approximately equal to the downward slope of the control valve characteristic.
