Patent number: 10486128Abstract: Heat-expandable microspheres having an expansion temperature which can be decreased by a simple means without changing the polymerizable monomer and its ratio and/or changing the blowing agent and its ratio, and applications thereof. The heat-expandable microspheres are composed of a thermoplastic resin shell and a core material encapsulated therein. The core material contains a thermally-vaporizable blowing agent which imparts a swelling degree of less than 5% as defined by the following formula (I) and a component (A) which imparts a swelling degree of 5 to 30% as defined by the following formula (I), wherein an amount of the component (A) ranges from 0.0001 to 30 parts by weight to 100 parts by weight of the blowing agent: Swelling degree (%)={(M2?M1)/M1}×100??(I) wherein M2 and M1 are as defined herein.Type: GrantFiled: February 19, 2016Date of Patent: November 26, 2019Assignee: MATSUMOTO YUSHI-SEIYAKU CO., LTD.Inventors: Satoshi Kawanami, Yoshitsugu Sasaki

Patent number: 6829958Abstract: Disclosed is an input device, comprising: a numerical value input unit; a storage unit; and a control unit. According to the present invention said numerical value input unit consists of numeric keys, and said storage unit stores the data for each of the parts of a human body Furthermore, said control unit operates in such manner that each of the parts of the human body is assigned any one of the numeric keys and when a specific numeric key is depressed the data for the part designated thereby is retrieved from the storage unit.Type: GrantFiled: November 19, 2002Date of Patent: December 14, 2004Assignee: Tanita CorporationInventors: Kiharu Sunako, Yoshitsugu Sasaki

Patent number: 6782340Abstract: Disclosed is a body composition measuring apparatus based on bioelectiical impedance measurement in which a person under test can set the required personal body information with higher visibility for setting operation, while talking easy pose. At first, a no-load weight meter output or zero-point is determined immediately after power up of the apparatus. Then a person under test gets on the weight meter to conduct the weight measurement. The person under test enters or sets the personal body information such as height, sex, and age, while standing on the weight meter. Thereafter, the apparatus measures the bioelectrical impedance and calculates the body fat percentage and the fat mass of the person under test, based on the measured impedance and weight as well as the stored personal body information. Finally the apparatus displays the resultant value on a display.Type: GrantFiled: October 12, 2000Date of Patent: August 24, 2004Assignee: Tanita CorporationInventors: Yoshichika Komatsu, Yoshitsugu Sasaki

Patent number: 6725089Abstract: A living body measuring apparatus includes a plurality of electrodes each of which is structured to make contact with a part of a living body; a current source connected to the electrodes; a voltage measuring unit connected to the electrodes; a control unit connected to the current source and the voltage measuring unit; and a display unit connected to the control unit. The control unit instructs the display unit to display the part of the living body to which an electric current is fed to the current source via the associated electrodes. The control unit further instructs the display unit to display the part of the living body of which voltage is measured by the voltage measuring unit on the associated electrodes.Type: GrantFiled: November 20, 2002Date of Patent: April 20, 2004Assignee: Tanita CorporationInventors: Yoshichika Komatsu, Yoshitsugu Sasaki
