  • Patent number: 5990841
Abstract: An antenna that comprises a rod, a movable coil, and a holding section which holds the movable coil in a manner that allows the movable coil to slide in and out of the holding section. When the movable coil is drawn into the holding section, the holding section tunes to a particular desired frequencies in the upper portion of the VHF band and the UHF band; for example, 144 MHz and 430 MHz. When the movable coil is out of the holding section, the holding section, the rod, and the portion of the movable coil outside the holding section form antenna element of a center-loading type that tunes to frequencies in the HF band and the lower portion of the VHF band; for example, frequencies in the range of 3MHz to 50MHz. The tuning frequency is varied by sliding the position of the coil.

  • Patent number: 5954192
Abstract: A knob positioning structure comprises a rotary switch shaft, to which a knob is mounted, the rotary switch being mounted in a depression in an enclosure, within which are formed detent points. A threaded hole is formed in the end of the shaft onto which the knob is to be mounted, and outer serrations are formed around the end of the shaft. The knob has a knob mounting screw hole through which a knob mounting screw can be passed, a knob stopper which mates with a detent point in the depression of the enclosure, and inner serrations, which mate with the outer serrations of the shaft. The knob is mounted to the shaft by inserting a knob mounting screw, via a spring, through the knob mounting screw hole and into the threaded hole in the shaft, enabling a sliding motion between the knob and the shaft in the direction of the shaft axis.

  • Patent number: 4553371
Abstract: A coin crimper for curling open end edges of packages with coins packed therein includes a package receiving opening, curling apparatus for curling the open end edges of the packages inserted in the opening and driving apparatus for rotatively driving the curling apparatus. According to the invention, the coin crimper comprises package receiving opening diameter changing apparatus for changing a diameter of the package receiving opening depending upon kinds of coins and hence packages of the coins, and curling position changing apparatus for changing a curling position where the open end edges of the packages are curled depending upon the coins, thereby enabling packages of coins having different diameters to be curled by the single coin crimper.
