  • Patent number: 4806432
Abstract: The copper-foiled laminated sheet of the invention is used to prepare a printed circuit sheet having see-throughness after patterning by etching of the copper foil. Different from conventional copper-foiled laminates using an electrolytic copper foil having a surface roughness of 10 or larger, the inventive laminate is prepared using a rolled copper foil having a surface roughness of 1.5 to 5 so that the surface of the adhesive layer, from which the copper foil has been removed by etching, has no undue roughness as a replica of the copper foil surface not to irregularly diffuse the light giving a parallel light-beam transmission of at least 50% and overall light transmission of at least 70% to ensure good see-through visibility.

  • Patent number: 4456572
Abstract: The invention provides a novel method for the preparation of a foamed body of a vinyl chloride-based resin composition having a very fine and uniform cellular structure in a continuous process with outstandingly low costs. The method utilizes a binary volatilizable blowing agent composed of (i) a first volatilizable organic compound which is a halogenated or unhalogenated aliphatic hydrocarbon boiling at 90.degree. C. or below and (ii) a second volatilizable organic compound selected from halogenated or unhalogenated aromatic hydrocarbons, ethers, ketones and esters having a specified solubility parameter in consideration of the compatibility with the vinyl chloride-based resin.

  • Patent number: 4402893
Abstract: The invention provides a novel and improved method for the preparation of a cellular foamed body of a vinyl chloride-based resin having a very fine and uniform cellular structure with high productivity in a continuous process. According to the inventive method, a vinyl chloride-based resin is admixed with a nucleating agent and a foam conditioning resin which is a specified acrylic resin or a styrene-based resin into a resin composition and the resin composition is first heated under pressure to be converted into an at least partly gelled mass, into which a volatilizable foaming agent which is an organic solvent having a boiling point not exceeding 90.degree. C. is injected under pressure so as that the resin composition is uniformly impregnated with the foaming agent. The foaming agent-impregnated and completely gelled resin composition is then brought under a reduced pressure to be expanded into foams with simultaneous cooling.

  • Patent number: 4098972
Abstract: Vinyl chloride monomers or a monomeric mixture composed mainly of vinyl chloride is bulk-polymerized in a polymerization vessel. The inner walls and other surfaces of said vessel, coming into contact with the monomer or monomers, are coated with one or more specifically selected inorganic or organic compounds having a solubility greater than 0.5 g in 100 g of water at 25.degree. C and a boiling point higher than 60.degree. C. This bulk polymerization method serves to greatly reduce the deposition of polymer scale on the vessel walls and other surfaces. In addition the polymer scale deposited can be readily separated and removed by merely washing with water or gas under pressure. The present method provides high quality polymers.
