  • Patent number: 9387905
Abstract: In a sprocket for a bicycle having a radial bearing acting as a bearing portion, an axial load acting on the bearing can be easily adjusted without having to dismount the components of the bicycle after the bicycle has been assembled; a spring washer is used as a component for an anti-rotation mechanism of an adjusting nut which serves to adjust the axial load of the radial bearing, so that an excessive load is not applied on the radial bearing to avoid a defective rotation, and the axial load acting on the radial bearing can be easily adjusted without having to dismount the components of the bicycle even after the bicycle has been assembled.

Abstract: In a sprocket for a bicycle having a radial bearing acting as a bearing portion, an axial load acting on the bearing can be easily adjusted without having to dismount the components of the bicycle after the bicycle has been assembled. An elastomer is used as a component for an anti-rotation mechanism of an adjusting nut which serves to adjust the axial load of the radial bearing, so that an excessive load is not applied on the radial bearing, which would result in a defective rotation. Further, the axial load acting on the radial bearing can be easily adjusted without having to dismount the components of the bicycle after the bicycle has been assembled.

  • Patent number: 7735937
Abstract: An axle assembly includes a first holding member, and a second holding member with a collet shape on a tubular body. The second holding member is inserted into a penetrating hole of a shaft mounting portion so as to reduce its diameter. The tubular body is directly inserted into the penetrating hole. When moving the fastening bar by operation of the cam lever, both holding members nip and hold the shaft mounting portion. While dismantling, a diameter shrinking part moves so as to reduce a diameter of the second holding member.

  • Publication number: 20090140571
Abstract: An axle assembly is supplied capable of solving that troublesome mounting and dismantling works needing a wrench to screw fasten bolt. In the axle assembly, the present invention is to furnish nipping and holding member with collet shape on tubular body; to insert the nipping and holding member into penetrating hole of shaft mounting portion so as to shrink diameter; and to directly insert the tubular body into the penetrating hole. When moving fastening bar by operation of cam lever, both nipping and holding members nip and hold the shaft mounting portion. While dismantling, diameter shrinking part moves so as to make the nipping and holding member shrink diameter.

  • Patent number: 6513822
Abstract: A hydraulic suspension unit which is arranged in a supporting pipe has a piston arranged in a cylinder and a piston rod which is coupled with the piston and projected from the cylinder and detachably coupled with a slide pipe edge portion. Coil springs for buffering are further built in the cylinder. Thus, the hydraulic suspension unit can be easily exchanged.

  • Patent number: 5398954
Abstract: A wheel suspension type front fork has a structure capable of being manufactured without a metal mold and cutting work. An inner tube 18 is disposed to a sliding tube 13 to form a dual-tube structure. A receiving plate 19 is supported by an upper end of the inner tube 18 and an axle receiver 25 of the sliding tube 13 is reinforced by a lower end of the inner tube 18.

  • Patent number: 5096215
Abstract: Fork ends attachable to opposite sides of a bicycle frame end each include at least an engagement groove to which an end of a rod member for supporting a wheel is engaged. Each fork end is detachably fastened by bolts to the frame of the bicycle within a recess provided therefor. Interposition elements of thicknesses selected to accommodate wheels of different width are provided between each fork and the frame end to which it is attached. In another aspect of this invention, there is provided a bicycle frame with such fork ends attached thereto.

  • Patent number: 4917397
Abstract: A cable threading structure of a bicycle frame includes a pair of members and a tube which do not communicate with each other. A cable inlet is formed in one of the members or in the tube near one of the members and a cable outlet is formed in the other of the members or in the tube near the other member. A cable threading exit opening having a diameter which is gradually reduced communicates with the cable outlet to lead a cable to the cable outlet so that the cable is inserted into the tube.

  • Patent number: 4887828
Abstract: A fork stem is formed of material having large hardness while a fork shoulder is formed of material having hardness smaller than that of the fork stem. A plurality of projection lines are formed in an end of the fork stem. The end is forcedly inserted into a through hole of the fork shoulder and an expansion portion is formed in the end forcedly inserted into the through hole to prevent the fork stem from getting out from the through hole.
