    Abstract: An improved guide holder is disclosed for an electrodischarge machining apparatus having a wire electrode, characterized in that the guide holder has a guide member with a cap, preferably non-conductive, is fixed to one side of a diamond body having a hole for passing through the wire electrode, and a pedestal is fixed to the other side of the diamond body, and that the cap and the pedestal each have a truncated conical hole which is in communication with the hole of the diamond body.
