  • Patent number: 7425775
Abstract: A wind turbine capable of varying active annular plane area by composing such that blades are attached to a cylindrical rotor movable in the radial direction of the rotor, the blades being reciprocated in the radial direction by means of a blade shifting mechanism connected to the root of each blade, or the blade itself is divided so that the outer one of the divided blade is movable in the radial direction. With this construction, the wind turbine can be operated with a maximum output within the range of evading fatigue failure of the blades and rotor by adjusting the active annular plane area in accordance with wind speed.

  • Publication number: 20080206051
Abstract: A wind turbine generator, an active damping method thereof, and a windmill tower in which vibrations of the wind turbine generator itself or the windmill tower can be reduced at low cost are provided. The acceleration due to vibrations of a nacelle (13) is detected with an accelerometer (17) attached to the nacelle (13). In an active damping unit (20), a pitch angle of windmill blades (12) for generating a thrust on the windmill blades (12) so as to cancel out the vibrations of the nacelle (13) is calculated on the basis of the acceleration, and the pitch angle is output as a blade-pitch-angle command ??* for damping. On the other hand, in a pitch-angle control unit (30), a pitch angle of the windmill blades (12) for controlling the output to be a predetermined value is calculated, and the pitch angle is output as a blade-pitch-angle command ?* for output control. The blade-pitch-angle command ??* for damping is combined with the blade-pitch-angle command ?* for output control using a subtracter (40).

  • Publication number: 20060075495
Abstract: An information distribution apparatus for conducting cryptographic communications, including a monitor circuit for monitoring the status of an encryption/decryption device. The monitor circuit continuously monitors the use rate of the encryption/decryption device, and when receiving a contents request from one or more of a plurality of reception apparatuses, accepts the contents request(s) as long as the use rate of the encryption/decryption is less than a system-defined reference use rate. This allows the encryption/decryption device to distribute contents to reception apparatuses of the number appropriate to the processing power thereof.

  • Patent number: 6812165
Abstract: Described is a manufacturing method of a semiconductor integrated circuit device by depositing a silicon nitride film to give a uniform thickness over the main surface of a semiconductor wafer having a high pattern density region and a low pattern density region. This is attained by, upon depositing a silicon nitride film over a substrate having a high gate-electrode-pattern density region and a low gate-electrode-pattern density region by using a single-wafer cold-wall thermal CVD reactor, setting a flow rate ratio of ammonia (NH3) to monosilane (SiH4) greater than that upon deposition of a silicon nitride film over a flat substrate.
