  • Publication number: 20050025473
Abstract: In an image sensing device in which a hinge mechanism is secured to the side face of the main body of the image sensing device and an image display unit for displaying a captured image is mounted by the hinge mechanism so as to be free to rotate, a light-emitting device for emitting light toward a subject is accommodated inside the hinge mechanism.

  • Publication number: 20050018657
Abstract: A communication apparatus which performs IP communication and analog communication through an ADSL gateway obtains an IP address of a party station from an SIP proxy and transmits/receives communication data with the party station on an IP network based on a file transmission/reception protocol such as FTP or HTTP when a party station's telephone number corresponds to a VoIP network. The apparatus performs analog facsimile communication on a line switching network when the party station does not correspond to the VoIP network. Moreover, the apparatus performs the analog facsimile communication on the VoIP network or the line switching network when the party station corresponds to the VoIP network but does not have any digital communication means. Thus, in the apparatus corresponding to analog and network communication paths, it is possible to select an appropriate communication path and achieve high-speed and high-reliability communication without any complicated operation.

  • Publication number: 20040233475
Abstract: A wireless mode between a scanner and an image communication apparatus is changed, in response to completion of image transmission from the scanner to the image communication apparatus, completion of print of the image sent from the scanner to the image communication apparatus, completion of transmission via a communication line connected to the image communication apparatus of the image sent from the scanner to the image communication apparatus, instructions to stop print of the image sent from the scanner to the image communication apparatus, instructions to stop transmission via the communication line connected to the image communication apparatus of the image sent from the scanner to the image communication apparatus, and states of the scanner and the image communication apparatus at a predetermined time and so on. For example, a low power consumption mode and communication mode of Bluetooth communication are switched to each other.

  • Publication number: 20040233898
Abstract: A communication terminal includes a resource transfer button for transferring URL information of an Internet resource to another party with which IP phone conversation has been established so as to allow the browser of the communication terminal of the other party to browse the Internet resource. The URL information of an Internet resource is registered to a one-touch key. Registering the selection information of the communication terminal of the other party and the URL information of an Internet resource enables the URL information thereof to be transferred to the communication terminal of the other party with which the phone conversation has been established immediately following calling the other party by pressing the one-touch key, so as to allow the browser of the communication terminal of the other party to browse the Internet resource. Thus, both the calling and receiving parties can browse the same Internet resource with the respective terminals.

  • Patent number: 6647102
Abstract: When it is discriminated that a facsimile apparatus is not connected to a telephone line, even if the power of the facsimile apparatus is turned on, then a predetermined time is elapsed, a demonstration operation using a display unit and a speaker included in an operation unit is to be automatically started in accordance with demo patterns stored in a ROM. Then, the demonstration is once stopped by a manual operation of the facsimile apparatus according to the use of the operation unit, a handset or the like. Accordingly, a data communication apparatus such as the facsimile apparatus or the like which is used to be connected to the telephone line is made to perform the demonstration operation easily, and the demonstration operation can be stopped when it is not required.

  • Publication number: 20030091167
Abstract: There is provided a communication apparatus that can reduce the labor and time required to notify others of a change in a user's e-mail address and can lessen the burden on a recipient of e-mail of rewriting a telephone directory list. On a sender terminal side, only information on e-mail addresses is extracted from a telephone directory list and is copied to a temporary storage buffer. E-mail is automatically generated based on a format conforming to notification contents selected by the user and is transmitted to the e-mail addresses that have been copied into the temporary storage buffer. On a recipient terminal side, a title of the received e-mail is analyzed and when the e-mail is determined to relate to a telephone number notification, a character string required for the telephone number is obtained from the e-mail contents and this telephone number information is reflected in the telephone directory list.
