  • Patent number: 7389093
Abstract: A call apparatus, a call method and a call system, are disclosed, in which the problem otherwise caused by fixed setting of the sound volume level of the BGM or the effect sound with respect to the call voice may be overcome. A decoded output of a decoder 17 (PCM data) is multiplied in a gain adjustment unit 18 with a gain coefficient k2, as the SE sound volume level as set by a user. A multiplication output of the gain adjustment unit 18 is sent to an adder 13. The decoded output of a decoder 20 is multiplied in a gain adjustment unit 21 with a gain coefficient k3, as the BGM sound volume level, as set by the user. A multiplication output of the gain adjustment unit 21 is sent to an adder 13. The adder 13 sums the multiplication outputs of the gain adjustment units 12, 18 and 21 and sends a sum output to an encoder 22.

  • Patent number: 7231658
Abstract: A transmitting-end terminal device transmits an electronic mail including large-size data such as video data to a transmitting-end cache via a transmitting-end router. The transmitting-end cache temporarily stores the received data. A POB server authenticates a user of the transmitting-end terminal device and determines whether a receiving-end terminal device can receive the electronic mail. If the authentication of the user is successful and if it is determined that receiving-end terminal device can receive the electronic mail, the transmitting-end cache transmits the electronic mail directly to the receiving-end cache without passing it through the POB server. The receiving-end cache stores the received electronic mail and transmits a message, indicating that the electronic mail has arrived, to the receiving-end terminal device. In response to a request issued by the receiving-end terminal device, the receiving-end cache supplies the electronic mail stored therein to the receiving-end terminal device.

  • Publication number: 20070043941
Abstract: A communication control apparatus selects an optimum terminal for an authentication device among a plurality of terminals that have completed authentication of the authentication device via wireless communication. The communication control apparatus has an information acquiring unit and a selecting unit. The information acquiring unit acquires address information and capability information of each of the plurality of terminals and identification information of the authentication device from each of the plurality of terminals. The selecting unit selects the optimum terminal having a capability of handling data addressed to the authentication device among the plurality of terminals on the basis of the capability information of the plurality of terminals and the identification information of the authentication device acquired by the information acquiring unit, when the address information and capability information of the plurality of terminals are acquired by the information acquiring unit.

  • Patent number: 7136358
Abstract: A network system includes a plurality of communication nodes. In the network system, data transmitted from a server apparatus (1) is received by a PC (2) and a PDA (3). Each of relay nodes 4 obtains a communication network parameter concerning the communication network connecting the communication nodes with each other. Each of the relay nodes (4) also determines a communication route, based on a format conversion parameter concerning format of data transmitted from the server apparatus (1) and types of format conversion at format converters (5a) and (5b), and the obtained communication network parameter.

  • Publication number: 20050050090
Abstract: The copyright or the use right is sometimes prescribed in a sound source data file used as BGM, so that, in a sound source data file, acquired by a user, copying and re-distribution need to be suppressed without detracting from its serviceability. To this end, a VoIP client writes a downloaded sound source data file in a prescribed folder in a HDD forming an external storage device. When the writing is finished regularly, a hash value in the folder is calculated. The so calculated hash value is set in the user-oriented system information in the external storage device. When the VoIP client is booted for VoIP call, a hash value in a prescribed folder in the external storage device is calculated, and the so calculated hash value is compared to the hash value stored as the system information. If the result of comparison indicates that the hash value calculated is equal to the hash value stored, the sound source data file, stored in the prescribed area in the external storage device, is displayed on the GUI.

  • Publication number: 20040076152
Abstract: MTID of a terminal apparatus is preliminarily registered into a database of an ISP. In step S2, when a power source of the terminal apparatus is turned on first, (MTID=B) is transmitted from the terminal apparatus to a router. A transmission signal is received by the router and (HGWID=A, MTID=B) is transmitted from the router to the ISP. If (HGWID=A, MTID=B) has been registered in the database, the ISP transmits a permission message in step S5. In step S6, an IP address for a new terminal apparatus is allocated and the new terminal apparatus can participate in a homenetwork. If (HGWID=A, MTID=B) is not registered, a refusal message is sent to the router.

  • Patent number: 6636507
Abstract: A frame switching apparatus in which it is possible to suppress the operating frequency of the bus and to suppress the cell loss ratio in comparison with that of an ATM cell switching apparatus employing the conventional input buffer system. Since the small capacity buffer Bn-n furnishes a transient storage site for a cell C, a distribution circuit 3n is able to receive a new cell Cn from the input buffer 2n to process the received cell. Therefore, head-of-line blocking is less likely to take place. On the other hand, since the small capacity buffer transfers the cell to only one output port, it is sufficient if the switching matrix SWM is of a N:1 multiplexer structure which is far simpler than a complete cross-bandwidth available register structure.

  • Patent number: 6549537
Abstract: A communication system is disclosed which can transmit a real-time cell and a nonreal-time cell with no jitters caused in the real-time cell. When a real-time cell and nonreal-time cell are outputted at a same timing, a priority control circuit (40) passes the output timing of nonreal-time ATM cell once and sets in a flag memory (40a) a wait flag indicating that the nonreal-time cell output timing has been passed once. Also, when there is no real-time ATM cell, the priority control circuit (40) judges whether a wait flag is set in the flag memory (40a), and allows to output one nonreal-time ATM cell when a flag is set.

  • Publication number: 20020129154
Abstract: A router emits an infrared ray based on a signal for operating a video recorder to the video recorder at a request made by any one of personal computers connected to the router through a network. In response to the infrared ray based on a signal for operating the video recorder, the video recorder outputs analog signals to the router through cables. The router then converts the analog signals into audio and video digital signals. Subsequently, the router outputs the digital signals to the personal computer making the request by way of the network. Then, the personal computer making the request outputs a sound based on the audio digital signal and displays a picture based on the video digital signal. As a result, the router allows an analog apparatus such as the video recorder to be connected to the network in a simple configuration.

  • Patent number: 5504631
Abstract: A magnetic recording/reproducing apparatus in which the reproduced audio data is processed and is recorded in every N cycles during which the reproducing magnetic heads scan a pair of recording tracks. The recording magnetic head is positioned behind the reproducing magnetic head for 8.5+4N track pitch, so that a write-after-read processing is provided. Using the recording head positioned behind the reproducing head, the reproduced audio data is stored in a memory for time base compression or expansion, and in a multichannel mode the reproduced audio data is read out and recorded performing write-after-read processing even if the number of channels is changed. The 2.sup.n channel audio data is recorded using interleave processing in every N cycles of the heads forming a pair of recording tracks so that even if the cycle in which a pair of recording tracks is not an integral multiple of the sampling cycle, the plural channels of audio data can be recorded and/or reproduced.
