    Abstract: A cosmetic composition containing the following components (A) to (D): Component (A): a polyglycerol fatty acid ester made from a fatty acid having 8 carbon atoms and a polyglycerol having a degree of polymerization of glycerol of from 3 to 14; Component (B): a polyglycerol fatty acid ester made from a fatty acid having from 10 to 12 carbon atoms and a polyglycerol having a degree of polymerization of glycerol of from 3 to 14; Component (C): a liquid oil; and Component (D): water, wherein a total amount of Component (A) and Component (B) is from 1 to 7.5% by mass, and wherein the mass ratio of Component (C) to a total amount of Components (A) and (B) ((C)/(A)+(B)) is from 1/15 to 1, and wherein Component (A) and Component (B) have a mixed HLB of from 11.5 to 14.0. The cosmetic composition of the present invention has excellent cleansing power and low stickiness, so that the cosmetic composition can be suitably used as aqueous cleansing cosmetics.
